FLYING HIGH

Between the rain, wind and crazy weather we have been having,
I was able to capture this motorized hang glider flying off into the sunset.

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " X "

The end of the alphabet is coming closer.
There are only 2 weeks after this one.
" X " is an eXtremely difficult letter to depict.
My first photo is an eXplanation of what I call a XEROPHYTE.
A plant that has adapted for growth with limited water.
There certainly is limited water at Red Rock Canyon, Nevada.



I definitely wouldn't say I have XENOPHOBIA.
Traveling to many different countries has helped me to not fear
things and situations that are foreign or strange.
These boys certainly have a different home life and routine than I do.
The bush of Kenya is far different than Central California.



Much closer to home I found a series of X's in the Tower Bridge.
I like the way there are Xs within the Xs.

WE are WENDING our WAY to the end of the alphabet.
Today's letter is " W ".

Queen WILLAMINA'S WINDMILL
in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California
has finally been refurbished and its WORKING again.
The WINDMILL shows WONDERFUL WORKMANSHIP.



I WANTED to show the WINGED horse WEATHER vane called Pegasus.
It looks as though he is making his WAY WESTWARD. WHOA !



WE WATCHED an exciting WHEELCHAIR Basketball game
during the annual Access to Health Fair at our church.
The disabled men and WOMEN never WAIVERED and had the WILL to WIN.
I really don't know how they moved so quickly and WERE so accurate.
They may not be able to WALK but they had the moves.

EXPERIENCE CHRISTMAS

Tonight begins the first of 15 Christmas Eve Services at Bayside of Granite Bay Church.
More than 30,000 people will come through the doors by the time Christmas Eve actually is here.
Its a most wonderful way to celebrate the season.

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " V "

I am VALIANTLY making my way to the end of the alphabet
for the 4th, or is it the 5th time?
Today its the letter " V ".
Aren't these VARIED and VIBRANT VEGETABLES yummy looking?




This VARIEGATED floor tile gives me VERTIGO.



The VERTICAL VIEW of the ceiling at the
VENETIAN Resort and Casino is a sight to behold.
Its like VIEWING the Masterworks of Italy without going on VACATION.



Several years ago my husband and I were in Niquinomo, Nicaragua.
We were able to VISIT this georgous VOLCANO crater.
The land around the crater was so VERDANT and VERY beautiful.

Some days one just needs to PRESS ON.

15 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS

Since I haven't gotten my house decorated yet,
I thought I would post some pretty baubles to get myself motivated.
Here's hoping it works.

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " U "

Today we have arrived at the Letter " U ".
I can USUALLY find UNIQUE pictures and words for the letter of the day.
UNFORTUNATELY, I was UNABLE to find many.
I even had the perfect picture for the " U " word... UGLY.
It was a terrific funny sign that got erased from my pictures!
So...on to the first photo. The tree climber is of the URSINE variety.
Actually his color is UMBER.



You don't want to be UNEQUIPPED while working in the kitchen.
Wearing the UTENSIL apron
should give you the UPPER hand to serving a great meal.



Please don't take UMBRAGE at my posting the UKULELES for a second time.
I just ran out of UNUSED photos.



I rather like the UNDULATING lines on the UMBRELLA when it is UP.

DECEMBER DAYS

Our son has been visiting from Oregon for a week.
We have had a great time but not much blogging has happened.
Sadly he goes home tomorrow.
