ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " G "

GATHER around folks for the next GALLERY installment
of the letter " G ".
A GARGOYLE seems to be GHOULISH
and to me, a rather
GROSS and GRIM GUARDIAN of the Winery Castle.
GRANTED, its just my opinion.



I liked the perspective of the GREEN GROUNDCOVER
between the GARDEN-like rows of GRAPEVINES.

They were not yet dressed for Spring.
I seem to GRAVITATE towards
scenes like this one.



As I GAZED at the GRAND view the fog GRADUALLY lifted
and I could see a GEM of a lake and the GLORIOUS mountains
covered in snow.

We found this GENUINE logo on the front of an antique stove.
The GREAT Western Stove was being used as a planter.
It was a pretty GOOD use for the appliance.

Our yummy breakfast this Saturday morning.
Eat your heart out ...McDonalds.

PLUM GORGEOUS

The beginning of Spring.
A few plum blossoms are popping out
since we have had a few days of nice sunny weather.
I just don't know what's going to happen to all the beautiful flowers.
The weather gurus are saying the temperatures are going
to only go as high as 40 F. and we may even have a dusting of snow at our home.
Its just too crazy.
We may have only a little fruit again this year.
That makes me sad.
But....

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " F "

Doesn't time go FAST?
We are already at the letter " F " of the alphabet.
Now, I could FABRICATE all types of
FANCY stories FOR the FIRST (F)hoto.
The truth is, this FURRY FOUR eyed FICTITIOUS creature
was on a large poster at FANTASTIC Disneyland.
He is FROM the movie Monsters Inc.

Looking at this little guy FILLS me with a FEELING of FELICITY.

BLOOMING LIKE CRAZY

Its been raining for so long and so hard.
It hasn't deterred the Almond tree from doing its thing though.
I'm so happy the blossoms have remained on the tree this year.
Perhaps we will even have Almonds this time.

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " E "

I have ENTERED an ECLECTIC selection of " E " words for
ABC Wednesday this week.
The first photo shows an EWE EAGERLY EATING her EXCEPTIONALLY simple meal.



Here we have some hardboiled EGGS I ENDEAVORED to make into
EGG-salad sandwiches EARLIER this morning.
Nothing EARTHSHAKING about the cut up EGGS,
just good yummy taste.



I found an EASY recipe for chicken ENCHILADAS.
They looked so ENTICING
I had to make them for our Valentines Day Dinner.
Hubby and I really ENJOYED them so much.



The definition of ELDERLY is... past middle age, (according to my old dictionary).
I think of ELDERLY as being really old and dottering.
This man definitely does not fit that description.
This is my Daughter in Law's Dad.
He turned 90 EARLIER last year.
Talk about a man full of ENERGY.
He has an ENERGETIC handshake too.
ENGAGING him in conversation about his childhood
or some of the EXCITING ELEMENTS of his life,
will keep him going like the ENEGIZER Bunny.
I ENVY his spunk and hope I can be like his "EXAMPLE" of being ELDERLY.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Here's wishing everyone a weekend full of Love and Happiness.

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " D "

The DAY was DAMP and DRIZZLING last week
as we visited Castello DI Amorosa.
This wonderfully DESIGNED, DOWN to the smallest DETAIL,
castle is actually a winery in the Napa Valley of California.
Every brick and stone was DISMANTLED in Italy and rebuilt here.



I loved the arched DOORS and DOORWAYS we found around the castle.
We were amazed at the DEDICATION to the DETAIL DEMONSTRATED
everywhere we looked.



Nearby at a Grist Mill I found an artistic wooden DOOR and rocks
DABBED with moss. It actually made the DARK DAY seem brighter.



Aren't these DEMURE DAMSELS DELIGHTFUL? I never
expected to find this artwork in the women's restroom!

A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT

Last weekend we were up in the Napa Valley of California.
Even though the weather was cold, grey and drippy we managed to find
some beautiful places to shoot.
