Good Morning where ever you are ...
I hope your weekend was pleasant for you.
We were really in a heat wave and the temps. was 104F. Too hot for me !
Even though it was pretty hot, I still made soup for supper.
It turned out SOoooo good.
I had left over veggies, a lonely pork chop and a bag of frozen Won Ton Dumplings. Added chicken broth, a spritz of Sweet and Spicy bbq sauce and simmered it away for the afternoon.
It was perfect. It was filling and it was so satisfying on our tummies.
This will definitely be on our future menu. Being hot outside didn't matter one bit.
Makes me hungry just thinking about the soup.
Thanks so much everyone for your kind comments on the previous post.
I loved looking at the "vintage" photographs of my parents and me and then sharing them with you.
Here's to another week of sharing Life together.

Always be Kind.

That soup looks delish. Will you be able to replicate it exactly? I cook off the cuff at times and then forget to get it right.
Yes it was hot but I keep thinking how thankful we don’t have that horrible humidity! I can feel the humidity at 20% and I’m uncomfortable. I much prefer the dry under 10% humidity. It does make it more comfortable.
What brand of sweet and sour BBQ sauce did you use? I want to make it!
Yum-O ..this dish looks so very good. Here I was last week complaining about our heat and I can not even imagine hot hot it is there. My son-in-law works in Northern California and I think the heat has been really difficult for him. We have so much humidity which makes our heat miserable. Sure hoping your gift comes today. Martha got her's last week, so hopefully soon. Hope y'all get some cooler temps very soon!! LOL. after I get through reading comments today I'm going to hop over to our Energy bill website and take a look at what my bill is for the month.. Hopefully I want pass out!! lol. Have a good day Sue..
It sounds wonderful! Don't you love using leftovers to make something new? Especially when it turns out so good.
Gee, that looks and sounds really good! That one lonely pork chop made a delicious meal. I have never tried to cook with wonton dumplings before. That's a great idea! I may have to look for those at the store. Now I'm headed to make some supper...cabbage and smoked kielbasa, carrots and potato soup. Similar!
I am impressed. You are one of those cooks who can just throw things together by instinct and make a great dish!
