KIND NEIGHBORS and THE BACKYARD CHALLENGE

 Happy Sunday !!

Our very kind next door neighbors gifted us with some absolutely perfect, sweet delicious Meyer lemons from their tree.

They smell divine and taste that way too.  I love a slice in my water especially.  It does help me drink more than I would otherwise.

I wish you could smell that fragrance today.

Since we have been "out of commission" for so long, our backyard is getting out of hand.  All of our hard work during the summer and fall has now gone to seed.

Here's hoping we can get caught up before things get too far gone for us.

We are suppose to be getting some rain next month.  Sure like to get some weeds dug out before then... but as I said on FaceBook,  my Umph isn't helping get it done!

Our yard is so large that it is daunting sometimes.

Here's to better days ahead.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

The lemons look lovely and we also enjoy lemon in our drinking water. You do have a very large yard, Sue. We had a karge enough yard in VA and somehow do not miss the ensuing yard work.

Your yard is big! Yard work is a lot, I think. I love that you received some lemons. They are a favorite of mine.

I can almost smell those lemons! That's a good idea about adding it to plain old drinking water. Your yard looks beautiful to me, but yes. Keeping up is a high order, particularly when our bodies aren't such crispy critters. (Right there with you!)

The lemons look beautiful! So does the yard. Have a great week!

Those lemons do look good. Kind neighbors are priceless, I know, as I have some like that.

Your yard reminds me of how mine used to look before we started adding patio pavers to cut down on the watering. We have a big hill in our backyard that is the bane of our existence. Vinca tries to take over, and we keep pulling it up. It's maddening, and to think it was my dear old dad who planted it because he liked the flowers!

Rain next month? I didn't know that. How can they predict that so far in advance? We'll see...February and March can be some of our wettest months.

What wonderful neighbors! The lemons look lovely.
Yard work can be a lot to deal with. I guess that's one blessing of snow - it covers it all up!

If I had one of these lemons I would eat it like and orange and now my mouth has watered up just typing this... yes, your yard looks daunting and I can't stand to go in our back yard because it is so daunting I don't want to see it. I go out ONLY with the dog, and he is going out 6 to 8 times a day.
the yard is last on my list of daunting...

That is a big yard. I know how easy it is for things to get out of hand too. With it just being me I tend to not get to outside work and things can start looking a little rough

How lovely to have a big back yard, I would love that. And a big bag of lemons straight from the tree, I can't imagine how aromatic and delicious they would be. Lemons only grow in the grocery store here in Canada! Enjoy the lemons, because you're getting another lemon as your new president today. A nasty vengeful evil man in my opinion.

We have had winds and power outages up here in the mountains. And another wind event happening today but so far keeping our power. I like your yard, looks fine to me.

That was nice of your neighbor. I wish you both well and the work in the yard can wait. Take care.
