I thought I would give it a try to giving my two cents worth on the Wednesday Hodgepodge.
Here is my take on the Autumn questions.
I had no idea today was National Walk to a Park Day.
Do I walk to a park? No but we have several close by that we walk around on occasion.
Quarry Park
Taylor Creek trail, Lake Tahoe
The question was asked about Central Park in NYC.
Yes, we have been there. It is a fantastic oasis in the middle of Manhattan.
It's hard to imagine there would be greenery in the midst of this concrete jungle.
A lot of things definitely are NOT A WALK IN THE PARK.
Taxes, and the state of the USA and the entire world at this time.
I am definitely a FALL on the color wheel.
I love the warm colors and my home is pretty much decorated in them too.
And my random comment for today.
Today would be my folks 91 wedding anniversary. They were married in 1933.
Amazing parents and I still miss them after so many years.
This photo was taken in 1942.
Whew..this turned into a long post, but sometimes it is good to think about happier times.
BE sure to enlarge all of my photos. They look so much better when you can see all the detail.
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind.

Love the photo of your parents. So young!
Great photos, Sue…love this post!
How I love this twist on a theme! While I love the Aspen grove, I think my favorites are those of you and Dave -- working side by side in the kitchen, then deep in conversation at the table. "A day in the life."
Your fireplace is stunning!
This is a beautiful photo of you with the hay and pumpkins. Love your kitchen table. And the photo you hung over your mantle is gorgeous!
I enjoyed seeing the candid photos of the two of you together. They send a message of quiet unity.
What a wonderful photo of your parents.
You have some nice parks to walk through. There is one park less than a mile from me. It's small but a nice place to walk
Wow their 91st anniversary. That is so cool to think that. I love your home in the earth tones and you in it too. For sure you are a fall gal. Love your photos!
Good morning....Such a sweet photo of your mom and dad. There are so many wonderful parks all around, and the ones near you fit in that category. The Fall Colors look great on you and in your home. BTW...I love your office...looks much like mine. I actually have a desk, but prefer sitting at the dining table. Blessings to you today. Hugs.
What a lovely post, and I LOVE all your photos, especially of you and your home! I do love the warm fall colors too, and enjoy them especially at this time of year. They are so comforting. And apple cider donuts? Oh YES! I can't wait until we get up into the N. Georgia mountains in a couple of weeks and go to an apple orchard where we can get some donuts and cider and fresh apples! I LOVE That so much! Your parents look like such wonderful people. Their picture taken in 1942 is the year my parents were married! And yes, I miss mine also so much. We were blessed to have good Godly parents. Take care my friend, and thank you for all of your encouraging words all of the time. I think we could be such good friends. Wish you weren't on the other side of the country! There IS a house for sale next door to me. LOL And it is already designed with fall colors! LOL. Blessings to you today.
Hi Sue! Thanks for stopping at my blog today. I see we do have some of the same friends.
I love photography and greatly enjoyed your work. You are very talented!
My mom was born in 1933 - it was a good year! That's such a nice photo of your parents!
Those apple cider donuts look very tempting. I wish I could reach right into the laptop screen and get one to enjoy withe a cuppa tea! Yes, Fall is a lovely season, such beautiful colours in the trees.
Thanks for joining in. I loved seeing Central Park too. You shared so many beautiful photos. God Bless your parents. Have a wonderful weekend.
It may have been long, but I enjoyed every bit of it. I love fall, too. There is just something about it. And I do love fall colors, too. But then I love all colors...
