Our pears haven't been very good this year.
The curtailment of watering due to the drought in our area and the terrible air quality due to all the wildfires has given us such a poor looking crop.
I picked what was left after the squirrels have had their buffet.
The pears are all hard as a rock and rough skinned.
Going to try to ripen some and hope for something to rescue from them.
TO BE CONTINUED
Maybe I will call this one Still Life in a Bucket ....

Too bad about those pears!! Your still life, is attractive tho.
good shot!
have you try a brown paper bag to ripen the pears?
Hope you can salvage some of your crop!
They look good. Is the lack of moisture keeping the fruit hard? I have noticed around here as well, the fruit is not very good.
I love your title!!! So will you be able to do ANYTHING with them?
Nic pic of the pears. Too bad about the weather not being good. Try cooking them.
this is our 3rd year of poor fruit and hard and small for avocado. drought for years and now rain for weeks, has ruined our food supply.
Our pears are coming ripe, too. My husband ate one off the tree last night.
They still look good!
hope you can do something with them but even more hope you have peace and safety from all that is happening.
