The wildfires in the mountains and foothills of Northern California are going up in flames.
Lives have been lost and so much devastation.
We know several families that have been under evacuation orders.
Dave and I are safe but so many are not.
Yesterday I went out to our front yard and snapped a few photos of the terrible air around us.
No ash but just yucky dirty air.
The photos were taken at 1 PM.
I had to turn on the lights in the house because it was too dark.
This photo didn't actually come out like what my eyes were seeing...
The smoke was very dense.
Here is the way it looked right over the peak of my house.
Its so sad and so scary.
Praying for all in our hurting world.

I'm glad you are safe. It is so sad. Praying for everyone affected and praying that they can get them under control.
I am so glad you are safe, how awful this is. I know that firemen have died as well.
It is sad to see such heavy smoke in the area. We have that a s well and it constantly looks like it have cloud.
I was wondering if you were getting smoke and there it is! I know the feeling and despair of so many ..we went through that in 2003 in the "old" fire ...came to our back fence and we had to run from it. I pray these fires die down - praying for lots of rain - and even an early early snow. Stay safe and hopefully there is clear air again soon for all to breathe freshness and peace.
We had a few days when our skies were smokey but nothing like your skies or air quality. Hope there’s rain soon.
