CHAMBER POT
Here goes something a bit different for me today.
I keep reading "MadSnapper's" blog posts about every day things.
I thought maybe I can be brave and do the same thing.
Walking down the hall into our bedroom,
I thought...
That looks like I have a CHAMBER POT by my bed !!
So out came the camera ...
Now I will explain:
We have a beautiful vintage Roseville Pottery Jardinaire from the early 1940's.
It is very heavy and fragile.
What to do with it?
We are thinking of selling it but have no place to store it.
So guess where it's found a home?
Under my side bedroom table.
Its safe and a pure dust gatherer.
I have to admit, it made me laugh when I thought
MAYBE some one would think
it was a fancy Chamber Pot.
End of my BLATHER for this Monday.

Love, love your chamber pot post. And Sandra's posts do run the gamut from funny and "punny" to inspiring and informative. You, Sue, have your own vibe going as well. Keep up the good work!
I love your chamberpot too! What an unique item to have! I love some of my debris for no other reason than I like to look at them!
Oh no! That is much too pretty to be a chamber pot.
Oh my goodness, Sue.....What a lovely "Chamber Pot" and displayed so graciously under your side table. It just add a bit of history to your already lovely bedroom.
Those are the things that give a home a bit of your personality! Love it!!
This morning I was scanning through all the pictures on my old computer. Goodness, I have a ton, and so many of Tahoe, and Rocklin and our precious friendship. I will download them before deciding what to do with the old computer.
We had some mighty good times in Tahoe and Rocklin...most of the pictures are of the lake and food!!!haha We enjoyed both, didn't we?
It is very pretty - what kind of pot is it really?
Back in the 70's my grandparents did not have running water. A chamber pot was a regular thing and it was unattractive. lol Nothing like this. I wouldn't have thought it might be a chamber pot.
We think the days of the chamber pot are gone, but I bet there are some in use around North America today.
it does look like one, but needs a lid. ha ha.. it truly is a beautiful piece of art. now next time MadSnapper 2, tell us just how high your bed is... WOW! I would not want to fall out of it... bring on the snapperisms, I am sure your house is full of things we would love to see and hear about...
My gandma use one, back in the day.
they do come in handy on a cold winters nite when the lights go out! :)
Hmmmm a chamber pot has a lid and usually a handle! But it's stored in a very convenient spot!!!
hahahah, come on admit it - ...hehe.
That is one beautiful chamber pot even if it isn't one! (wink)....hahahahahaha
