THIS AND THAT

 Good Morning ...

It seems that this is a This and That kind of day.

I looked out our window this morning and was surprised to see blossoms on our almond and plum tree.  A few days of warmer weather started the buds to popping.

I'm so happy to see some life in these old trees, but oh my ...

The rest of our yard is terrible.  All our hard work clearing the weeds last season has gone to "ugly".

I just don't know if we can crank up enough steam to gets things back to pretty again.  I guess its going to be one baby step at a time.

On another note ...

I couldn't stand my hair any longer ... literally ...

I finally gave myself a haircut.  Pretty satisfied with the job but I just can't get the selfies to work out well.

So

What you see is what its going to be.

Well, this old lady is sending you some smiles and saying enjoy your weekend watching the Olympics and Super Bowl.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

Oooh! I love seeing the flowers. Today I'm happy to see sunshine here instead of snow falling. But we've got several months before we see flowers.
Your hair looks great. You did a good job!

Does that mean you are in spring already? That is early. I think your hair looks wonderful. I can't believe you did it yourself. I tried to post yesterday and tell you those were the biggest and prettiest lemons I ever saw.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your selfies and your cute hair cut! You did a great job, if you ask me!! I am due for a haircut too, but I am not brave enough to do it myself. Maybe just the top that I can see, but the back is impossible for me to reach and cut properly. Haircuts have gotten so expensive too, but I don't splurge much on anything else these days. Oh, and I LOVE the blossoms! Spring is coming!!! I know there are some here in the woods where we used to walk...wild plum trees bloom really early, but with the recent freezing weather we have had they already dried up. Probably won't be many wild plums for the birds and critters this year. And yes, yard work is one of those things that keeps coming back to haunt us! I just went out and uncovered our plants that we covered to keep them from being frozen. I'm afraid some still didn't make it, but I watered them anyway and will prune them when I am sure the weather is finished being all wintery! LOL. We are having sunny skies and a high of 68 today, which feels really nice!!!! Have a lovely rest of your weekend, and enjoy your cute and springy hair cut. I love it.

It makes life feel so real and cozy. Blossoms already popping on the almond and plum trees sounds like such a sweet surprise! Do you think the rest of the yard will catch up soon, or will it be a slow, charming revival? And hooray for the haircut! Sometimes “what you see is what it is” is exactly the perfect attitude. I hope your weekend is filled with joy, excitement from the Olympics, and excitement from the Super Bowl. I’ve just shared a new travel post too, you’re warmly invited to have a look: www.melodyjacob.com

Great job on the haircut! I've been doing that too. I'm letting my hair grow and just keep nipping away at the ends so they don't friz. So far, so good. lol
Love the pics. I can't wait to see buds in our neck of the woods (SE Georgia). We need rain really badly. Please pray for us! Thanks. ❤️
