CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Saturday was the day of my friend Lynne's Celebration of Life.

It was truly a Celebration of her Life ... a Life well lived.

Lynne almost made it to 85 years of life.

Our whole family had the privilege of taking part in her service.

Granddaughters and Daughter in Law were part of the singing group too.

How does one put into words the history of 63 years of our friendship?

How does one make it a "short" talk?  Well I just talked until I had said it all ... Hubby said I went 20 minutes.  Hey, that's okay with me.  I had a lot to say, from our college days to care-giving to my final farewell ...

Obviously, I am not the 3"x5" card type of speaker.

I have to say that there was a lot of prayer for me and things just flowed.
I feel that the highlights of our friendship
and the Journey into Alzheimers and The Long Goodbye were shared exactly how it was supposed to be done.

Yes, It Is Well With My Soul.

Do I miss Lynne?  Of course I do.  But now she is in Heaven.

What could be better than that?

Until we meet again ...

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

Sue, nothing means more to family than to hear words of love and memories of a lifetime with a dear friend. I'm so sure your words were so loved and appreciated. I loved that you showed the love and time and effort you put into your sharing at her service. Love you dear friend. Nothing like sweet friendship.

Oh, Suzy, what a lovely post. I am so honored and grateful you shared from your heart on Saturday like you did. You have been there for me my whole life, but for the past 10 years your physical and emotional support have kept me going. Thank you for your unconditional love and support.

That had to have been such a moving day for all of you. Words spoken from the heart (I think) trump every pretty speech ever written. Wouldn't Lynne have been so proud?!

You spoke from your heart, which is more meaningful than anything.

There is NOTHING better than being in Heaven. What a great friend you are to speak up for her. That sounded like a beautiful service.

Again, I am so very sorry. But yes, she is now rejoicing in Heaven. I am glad you said everything that you had wanted, and not cut it short!! Things were too important and the occasion too serious for things to be left unsaid.
