SOME TIMES ARE HARD

There has been a lot of hard times for all of us during the last few weeks.

I'm not whining because my difficulties as so small compared to some of my Blogging Friends.

I just get so frustrated when my body isn't as strong as I wish it was in my younger days.  I get so frustrated when my brain can't comprehend all the computer technology I need to have to move forward.

Financial difficulties aren't any fun either but we are learning to Trust in our Lord.  Everything keeps going up except our fixed income ... sigh.

Ok, now I am done ...

This is Thankful Thursday and I truly am thankful we are still above ground, have a wonderful home, fabulous family and food on our plate.  What could be better than that?

I'm going to leave this post with a photo of fungus.  I saw this on the stump in our backyard.

Be sure to enlarge these photos.  The details really show up.
This stump is "dead" but there seems to be life there anyway.  Sometimes I just have to look for it.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

I LOVE the fungus amoung us! LOL. God even makes "decay" look beautiful! Everything has a purpose in His great kingdom and creation. And yes, getting older isn't for sissies, that's for sure! Our bodies just don't always cooperate like they used to, and it can be very humbling at times, especially when we find ourselves asking for help more than ever before. But yet we still so much for which to be thankful in this life. I totally agree with all you said. May God bless you today with His joy and peace and strength. Amen.

The fungus looks like something from the sea. Interesting!! Oh Yes Sue, I know exactly what you mean. Minds, bodies, and finances are sometimes not good to us as we age. BUT...we are all so very blessed. When I allow my sorrows to bring me down, I quickly think of the children in countries where they are starving. My worries are NOTHING compared to the issues in 3rd world countries. I am thankful that we are Blessed. However, my body does still hurt when I've done things out of the ordinary. HA! our new mattress came and I woke up the next morning from our first night on the new mattress and my neck was hurting. It's better now, but just the newness of my sleep position sure made my bones ache.

The fungus is pretty cool looking. I appreciate your testimony. I think that those who are able to be thankful in hard times have the best witness.

Nice mushroom pics!
We have new phones because our old ones where wearing out and we also went with a new carrier. My mind is so muddled from trying to figure out how to make everything work again. I'm about to give up but I can't go back. *sigh* I really hate modern life many times. Hopefully things will get better soon.
Blessings.

I understand where you’re coming from. It’s probably best to not look so much at our circumstances because obviously it will be depressing. It doesn’t help that even when we try to take our eyes off the circumstance, that we can still “feel” them. Ouch! Ohhh, it’s a path our ancestors from the beginning of time have had to endure. Concentrate on the fact that Jesus walks with us on that path as we age and one day, in His perfect timing, He’ll take us home. Meanwhile you have friends, family and love, a roof over your head and food in your belly. We just have to learn that we’re not going to be able to do all that we used to. I’m learning that too and trying to embrace getting older, one day at a time.

Keep sharing your feelings and don’t apologize for it. We’re human. Plus aren’t we all supposed to bear ye one another’s burdens?

Frustration is a perfect word! I've no idea what happened to it, but I used to have a little Jodi Bergsma watercolor that read, "Some days the dragon wins." You're not alone, my friend. Warm hugs!
