MORE WORK

 Today is Thankful Thursday.

I am thankful that my body still works, maybe not as well as it used to in younger years, but it still gets me where I need to go.

I am thankful that I have a Hubby that still gets things done too.  It may be slower and needing more rest breaks, but things do get done.

Today I am going out for the 3rd day in a row to pull some of those darn weeds.

It may be winter before everything is accomplished - but that's what the goal is for now.

My sweet husband mowing the lawn.

The birds are loving all the seeds developing in our weed patches.

Those spiky weeds just never stop !

My project for today and probably tomorrow since my back can only take so much bending over.

On a different note.

When scrolling through FB I saw some lessons on taking photos with my iPhone.  I only have a mini iPhone so many of the bells and whistles don't apply.

I did experiment with a few filters and was fascinated how they changed my shot.

This is nothing to get too excited about but it is fun to try something new.

This was taken at my "Office" in bright morning sunlight and my overhead dining room light fixture was on.  Kind of interesting and off the wall.

Okay folks, its out to the yard..

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

I really enjoyed your Thankful Thursday post. It was very timely and just the prop I needed to get me out of my funk.
Do you have a link to the cell phone photo tips you found on FB that you could share?

When you describe you and your husband - working - you could change the names to Sandie and Rick! I get it.

A little at a time gets it done ... just wish the "little" wasn't happening more and more frequently. This shadow shot reminds me a little of what Sandra's published. I love your artist soul.

That is an interesting shot. Your yard is big! I like your pictures of your back yard - the trees. We get those those spiky weeds, too.

Well today Teen Challenge spent 4 hours here. They are scheduled to come the 2nd Thursday every month for $100. They attacked the hill in our yard and it looks much better and we’ll be able to manage the rest of the yards much better.

Your husband is a sweetie. I hope at least you’re out there in the morning hours when it’s cooler.

All gets accomplished bit by bit. Weeding is a tiresome chore, I think! Thank you for taking the time to link up. I appreciate it!

I never use my cell phone. I figured out how to take a selfie with it this week. Small steps…

I only wish that my flowers grew as well as the weeds. They never seem to give us break do they? The sad thing around here is that just as you finish one end of the yard (pulling the weeds) the other end has already grown more. This is a neat picture Sue...with the light shining down. I enjoy trying to capture new pictures with my phone, but I need a few lessons...for sure!

That's what I do: weeding, weeding, weeding. I think I'm going to surrender. :-) All the best! Regula

I always find it fun to experiment with new things when it comes to taking pictures.

The yard work seems never ending when you’re a homeowner, that’s for sure. Slow and steady is the best way to go. Learning new things can be fun.

I love that you are still a learner...new tecniques for your photos. Guess I'm a stick in the mud. But I really do like taking pictures with my phone. Since Michel got me a new phone, it takes much better pictures. Oh those dang weeds. I wish they would just give up and take themselves to the garbarge bin. I know it's really hard on the back. So not to much. Your dear hubby, working so hard. Don't we love you and Dave!!!

That photo is interesting, and especially interesting to see a "real phone". LOL. We gave ours up when we moved to this house since our cell phones work in this house okay. Our house phone was only getting spam calls anyway, so we disconnected it. Oh, those weeds! I can totally relate. I cannot pull weeds for more than a few minutes. My back and shoulders just cannot take it. So we mostly just mow down anything weedy and try not plant anything in the way of the weeds, but that doesn't always work out. The weeds have a mind of their own and they love to take over! Life is just too short to let them get me down. Please don't wear yourself out either. Especially in the heat. That will get to you even quicker than the weeds. So please take care my friend.
