Yesterday, Mother's Day, was a nice day. We went to church and then out to lunch at Chili's Restaurant. Good food and time to catch up on life.
Unfortunately Billy (granddaughter Amanda's husband) had to work at the church so it was just the 5 of us.
This wasn't the most successful selfie group photo, but it is a great record shot for me. Wish Dave had been more in focus but maybe it was because we were all too full after our lunch..😀
The evening ended with a nice long phone call from our son Mark and his wife Kellie. Granddaughter Maddie said hi before heading off to bed. She just turned 16 last week. These kiddos sure grow up too fast.
The best thing about the call was finding out that Mark, Kellie and Maddie are coming down from Oregon for a weeks visit in June.
This makes one Mama and Papa really excited and happy. We so miss seeing them face to face!
Here's some gorgeous tulips that Amanda gave me for Mother's Day.
Aren't they beautiful?

Always be Kind

That mst be very exciting to have family come to visit - I wouldn’t know since all my family lives within a 6 mile radius from me. I still enjoy their visits though. 😉

Hello Sue, what a delightful picture for Mother's Day. I love your family. How exciting...Mark and family come in June. We get to see Jill and Tristan in June too. It's hard when those we love are not close! I love seeing that beautiful red hair....Jill's is a little darker, but I love redheads. Which we were, HaHa
Loving you.
Love the group photo. So happy you had a good Mother's day
Sounds like a lovely Mother's Day. I like the photo. How wonderful that you will have company in June. We plan on seeing Amber and Dylan in Montana in June. Yes the tulips are awesome! Take Care.
What lovely Tulips. I wish I could grow them here but our soil is too dry and porous. Bulbs are one of my favorite flowers. Y'all look great. Glad your Mother's Day was extra special nice. ❤️
Sounds like a wonderful Mother's Day and some exciting news to look forward to in June.
The tulips are lovely.
