FRIDAY "FLITTERINGS"

 What are Flitterings?

Google says: moving in an apparently Random or purposeless manner.

That's what this weekend post is all about.

In listening to my photographer son's podcast yesterday, I was struck by how I felt the same way ... ie; In a photographer's SLUMP.

He suggested just getting out and playing with the camera just for ME.  No agenda, just having fun.

So I did just that..

It was fun to just think about random pictures and then my mind went into Abstract  mode.  I have always like this type of thing and I want to challenge you to think outside the box and just have fun.

I saw some reflections in some old tile and loved the effect.

What is it??

To be continued ...
I would love to see some of you take up the challenge of finding the Abstract in the Mundane.

Always be Grateful
Always be Kind

This is a great idea! Love the rainbow tile. And the second image, turned on it's side it looks like a bunny!

I love this idea and the first one is really pretty and I think the next one is frost on a defrosting steak. it does look like an abstract.

I am thinking meat defrosting too. The first one - concrete?
So does your son take photography from you or vice versa.
You will get out of your slump soon!

I love this idea! Now, if I can only unleash my mind's eye and stop looking for something to come whack me up the side of my head.
PS - I think the second image looks like a fat man in white scrubs fixing to lead patients in doing the bunny hop down a hospital corridor.

I must have cats on the brain. In the last photo, that everyone else says is meat defrosting??? I never noticed that until they said it, but I see a Mother cat looking down at her kitten, and there is a little bird looking at them both. Perhaps the mother cat is telling the kitten that she shouldn't chase the little bird. The bird is hopeful that is what she's telling her.

In the first photo of the tiles, in the top one I see a face like a pigeon, and in the bottom one I see a face of a cat again, up real close. I told you I have cats on the brain! LOL.

I really like that "Flitterings"... I had to take a long look at that last photo, but I think it is a package of pork with some frost on the package. Makes for an interesting subject. I would love to listen to your son's podcast...How is it listed? I did see a squirrel of sort in that same picture as well.. Happy Weekend.

Flitterings, that's kind of how I spend most of my days lately.
I like the idea of going out and just playing with the camera. That last picture looks like a piece of raw meat.

Agreed that just getting out or staying in and taking photos is very creative as both you have done and your son suggested. Can you give the name of his podcast, Sue, as I missed it before, thanks.
