HAPPY ANNIVERSARY # 61 ....COUGH, COUGH, BLOW THE NOSE !

How can it even be  61 Years !

Happy Anniversary to us.  I am so glad I met my wonderful husband so many years ago.  College is good for something .. HaHa ..

We have been through a lot over the years but I wouldn't trade any of it (even the hard difficult things).  I do believe it has made us stronger people and a stronger couple.  The Lord has always been our Cornerstone.

I thought I would share a few photos of us through the years.  There's not going to be a current one from the last few days.. No one wants to see us in the midst of a cold and icky times.

Gosh...we sure were young (and skinny)

We love our family and all the fun times we get to have together.

Building Memories

One of our favorite places is Lake Tahoe.  We don't drive up there any longer.
Makes me sad but we cherish the memories.

This was taken last year for our 60 year celebration.
San Francisco is  the best of memories for us.

In closing,

As we walk into the closing years of our lives there is no other person I would rather do that journey with.

Love you Dave...

Here's to many more years of "Bliss".

What a sweet post! Sorry you both are sick...flu A is running rampant in my neck of the country. So far, we haven't caught it, so maybe we wont. (fingers crossed, prayers said)

You were babies! 😃

What color did your bridesmaids wear?

Sapphire blue velvet...it was so pretty and the bridesmaid flowers were gold.

You are among a group of people that seems to be getting smaller and smaller...a marriage that lasts a lifetime!! Congratulations again! Too bad you are both sick on the occasion. Your wedding gown was beautiful!

Happy Anniversary to you and Dave! I really enjoyed the photos; beautiful couple then and still are today. (Except for the cold and sniffles!)
Another friend of mine is also celebrating an anniversary today. They've been married 55 years. Guess Jan 31 is a good day!

"Young and skinny ..." That was me Way Back When. Where did the time (and my waist) go? 😁
Y'all get well soon. Congrats again.

What a beautiful bride and groom y'all made! And I love how your mothers wore gloves for the occasion. Such a wonderful example, doing what it takes to make a marriage last through good times and 'not so.'
Happy forever-after!

Congratulations on achieving 61 years of married bliss! I know, I know, I'm sure it hasn't always been "bliss", but you've survived it and are a lasting testimony of God's grace and how love conquers all! So very happy for you both, except for the fact that you've been sick lately and not up to celebrating much! I hope you will both feel better soon and then do something extra special to commemorate the day! May God bless you with many more happy and healthy years together! what a blessing!!! (We will have 56 years in August, Lord willing!!)

Oh how we love you and Dave. How in God's providence He would have us meet on the blog, and then share so many wonderful memories at the cabin at Lake Tahoe, and then to find out we were married by the same Pastor a few years apart!! Some friendships were made in heaven. You and Dave's wedding pictures look so much like ours. Sending lots of best wishes for many more year.
