Dave and I took a little walk in our neighborhood the other day.
We came upon a bunch of smaller sunflowers and I just had to try to take them with my cell.
It was pretty breezy but the phone takes terrific photos and I am pleased with the way these turned out. I had the setting on "live" so for my one snap about 6 were taken. That way I was able to get the most in focus of the photos. Just learned that ...that day... what a win for me.
Be sure to enlarge the photos to see the detail better.
Several of you asked about our maybe going to Costa Rica with the zoom group.
I really think our time of doing that type of mission service has come to an end.
We certainly are open if its the Lord's leading.
That got me thinking that many of you on my blog now perhaps don't know Dave's and my background and doing mission trips in the past.
Over the next week or so i think I will share photos from our trips around the world and the wonderful experiences we had.
Precious memories that I hope you will enjoy.
That's the fun of blogging... getting to know each other and what makes us tick.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

The sunflowers are beautiful. They are a favorite of mine.
Oh those are so beautiful. I love sunflowers!
Your photography of the progression of the sunflowers is spectacular!! I'm so glad you are going to share your Mission stories, I only know a few of them and I know you have had many trips. We enjoyed our granddaughter, Amanda's wedding last week and I posted a few pictures. I'm not a very good blogger these days.
Thank you Wanda so much. I am going to try to make some sense out of our past trips. Glad you had a wonderful wedding. New chapters of life are so exciting. Hope you had a good time with Tristian and Jill too.

Me, too! I mean, who can't look upon their sunshiny faces and not smile? These captures are exquisite... like something on the wall at a high-end gallery.
I'm looking forward to seeing your travel memories. Hugs!
Your photos are gorgeous! My favorite are the first two, and the way the light is on them. They all look professional.
Sunflowers are my favorite and so rewarding! This is the first year I didn’t plant them or anything else, for that matter.
No I didn’t know you and your husband were missionaries. The new church we are attending, the Pastor was born to missionary parents in Africa where he grew up. His father was a missionary surgeon, Dr David Thompson - also a missionary kid who was born in Cambodia. Missionaries see God’s miracles all the time.
Thanks for sharing your sunflowers. They’re such a happy flower! 🌻
I agree, sunflowers are happy flowers and oh so joyful. I love the one with the tall flower in the shot and it is my favorite. ALL of them are gorgeous. you do have the eye and the skills for photos.
Love sunflowers now...didn't used to...and thanks for the reply!
hugs

It is sunflower season here too. Such beauties. Great captures!
Giant Sunflowers are my fav's too. Many of the farmers fields had full of mature Sunflowers this year. Must be a new cash crop for them. It's better than growing the traditional tobacco, in my opinion.
No mission trips for us either, unless God ordains it. I tell ya who really needs to hear the Gospel (or maybe they already have and rejected Him) is that bunch in D.C. Just sayin' ...
Keep looking up. Things are coming to a head Scripturally speaking, wouldn't ya say?
Blessings to you all dear sister in Christ. 💙💙
Your sunflower pictures are great. I especially like the sharp detail in the top two. What kind of s cell phone do you have?
I have an iphone mini. I really like it.
I so love these.. cant wait to see on computer. Sunflowers have always been a favorite.
