Yesterday morning we received word that our friend had just passed away.
Doug had been battling cancer for a few years and it had taken over his whole body.
Though we are sorrowful, we can't help be comforted that he is out of the terrible pain and in the arms of his heavenly father.
We have known Doug and his wife Karen for 65 years. So many fun times and so many years of being in each others lives. Its hard to wrap my mind around the fact that he is gone.
Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
For You are with me.
Always be kind
Always be thankful

My condolences, Sue.
I'm so sorry, Sue.
It’s rough when we start saying goodbye to our friends. He’s in the arms of Jesus!
I am sorry for your loss. Cancer is a beast.
I am so sorry. It is so hard to lose a friend. The older we get - the more we will lose too.
So sorry for your loss. May the Lord comfort you and his loved ones with the knowledge that for those of us who trust & believe in Him these separations are only temporary. ((hugs)) 💙
I'm so sorry. This is one of the hardest things about being our age, watching our friends leave.
so sorry to hear this, even though we know it is coming it always brings much sadness to our hearts.
We lost a dear friend recently too. So sad! Deepest sympathy to you both!
I am so sorry for your loss. We know we can't live forever, but it is always hard to let people go.
I am so sorry for your loss...it really is hard to wrap your mind around someone being gone. But then when you think of where they go, it is a comfort.

Dear Sue and Dave ~ how sad to loose OLD FRIENDS, ones we have shared so much with. I feel your sadness and I don't even know your dear friend. Lately we have been hearing of the death of friends from the Church up North we served for over 27 years. Who knows, it could be me next...but I know for sure that my next move will be to heaven. How we can rejoice when a dear friend takes up residence in heaven.
Love and Hugs.
So sorry for your loss. Praying for you and his family. ((Hugs))
Belated condolences on your friend, Doug's passing Sue. It is always difficult to live treasured friends, no matter how many years have been spent together. He will be missed by all.
I'm so sorry Sue. That must leave a real void in your hearts.
Even when we know the person we are grieving for is in a better place where there is no more suffering or pain and that we will meet again, it doesn't make our loss feel any less.
Sending hugs and a belated prayer for comfort and peace for you and Dave.
