Last Friday night we got a surprise phone call from some friends.
They were in town from Colorado and wanted to get together.
We have known Clyde and Michelle for 55 years !!
My hubby Dave was Clyde's boss at Sears when Clyde first got out of the Navy.
They became great friends and he (Clyde) also became an assistant mgr.
Many parties together and fun family times. As life goes on, people move but we always stayed in touch.
This lovely couple said they were in town to attend their granddaughter's baby shower.
We met at our local ice cream shop and chatted for almost 3 hours before they had to leave.
Its so much fun to visit with precious friends and keep up a relationship for so many years.
We are blessed.

I love that for you - we have a couple of friends like that - one for 44 years! They are wonderful and a blessing.

We have friends similar to yours, Sue, and though we do not see one another often (every few years) because of distance, getting together always involves several hours of catching-up. And, I am sure that like with your CO friends, it's as if time has stood still in between. Hope the ice cream was as good as the company!😋🍨

sounds like fun, bob and i both just said no way would we want to meet our bosses we worked for at Sears,that is a true blessing.
