IT'S BEEN A WHILE

Time sure does seem to march on whether I'm ready for it or not.

Saturday we had a "yard sale"/ garage sale/ ornament and do-dad sale.

It was a total BUST !

There was suppose to be no rain and mild temps..haha..that didn't happen.

Up at 6:30am and everything set up to sell by 8am.  We decided to have everything in the garage since it was pretty murky out...

Well it went from rain to drizzle to windy etc. all day.  No one came from all of our advertising, no one was even walking their dogs...

Finally one lady stopped by and bought an ornament for $5.00

Not a great profit for the day.

Sunday after church we opened for a few hours and made $130.00  PTL

We had a great time visiting with the neighbors across the street.  Tad, his father in law and his dad bought loads of stuff and Tad got his son and friend to rake and blow all our leaves in the front yard.. What a surprise and what a blessing.

As I have said so many times...we have the best people in our neighborhood.

Later Sunday afternoon we went to a friends Holiday Open House.  We haven't seen Julie for over a year.  So much fun and the goodies were delicious.

It was such a great ending to a difficult week.  Now to get ready for our Bible Study Christmas dinner tomorrow..  Suns bright, no wind and the leaves are still falling.

Some how we didn't get a new photo taken this year, but the friendship is still the same.. Julie and I at her open house 2 years ago.

And so the days roll on towards the celebration of the birth of our Savior.

I really do love this time of year.

And that tree with the leaves - looks GORGEOUS!
And $130 is good! You had fun doing it too!

$135 for selling your old stuff is nothing to sneeze at! 😃

You do seem to have great neighbors.
Happy to read that Sunday more than made up for Saturday's disappointment.

Glad you are finally able to make a profit from the yard sale. Good neighbors are beyond a blessing, I think :) Thank you for linking up.

Your neighborhood sounds great. I wish I lived down the mountain and in a nice neighborhood again. We do have a few good ones up here near us and the town itself really has great people who help others.

I enjoyed the photos. Glad you made some money. I have stuff to get rid of but not disciplined enough to actually set up a yard sale.
