This post is more for me than others looking at this blog.
Here is the photo of our dear friends, now both gone to be with the Lord.
Janet passed away from cancer 8 years ago and now Xavier has joined her in the heavenly realms.
The memorial service on Monday was wonderful and beautiful..it sounds strange to say that...but it was.
So many friends and family were there to honor Xavier.
His family is huge!
8 brothers and sisters and 5 kids of his own...then you throw in all the spouses and kids and its a party without any friends . Some were not able to make the memorial so there would have been more.
It was thrilling for me to visit with some of the kids that I haven't seen for so many years. Hugs, tears and laughter all rolled into one special day.

I'm so sorry. This is one of the worst things about getting older....watching our friends and family leave.
Such a wonderful legacy! They were so fortunate to have such a large family!
Awww. How wonderful. We grieve, but not like those without hope!! What a fabulous family, so many faces touch by this wonderful man!
wow! that is one big family and they all fit in the photo and look happy to be there... I think of my friend Madeline several times a day, each time I do email, i think she is not at the other end of the address. her death last week has made me list all the family memebers gone since I moved to Florida 40 years ago, friends and family, there are only a few left.
How wonderful it must be to have such a large family! Beautiful group..
How sad for your friends. Too young to leave us!
