UNKNOWN VOLUNTEER FLOWER IN OUR YARD

In the past few years we have had volunteer plants appear in our yard.

We often see the leaves of this one but they never amount to anything.

This year we have gotten the most beautiful blossoms on a few.

Does anyone know what they are?

No fragrance but they sure are pretty.

Enjoy your weekend.

They really are lovely! I have a brown thumb so my enjoyment comes from seeing other folks flowers and the hardy colorful species that just pop up on their own. The exception is the jasmine Hubby planted that now graces our pergola at the beginning of our walkway to our home's entry. As spring is rapidly giving way to summer heat here, our jasmine blooms will soon be gone.

I had no idea but came to read the comments because I was sure somebody would tell you -- and they did! I have had that experience with birds many times. (I love flowers, but all I do is"steal" photos of them from other people's gardens. If I were in your area, I'd definitely want one of your pretty "pale eyed yellow grass."
