A SAN FRANCISCO WEEKEND

While our Son and Granddaughter were visiting we made our trek to San Francisco.

Summertime and a Saturday made for a gazillion people on the road.

We did have a good time though and visited the Presidio of San Francisco.

Summer in San Francisco usually means fog.

This Saturday was no exception.

The Golden Gate Bridge was barely visible.

We always visit the National Cemetery at the Presidio.

Hubby's Dad and Mom are buried there.

There are some fascinating tombstones too.

This is one of my favorites.

If you enlarge it you can see the detail on his uniform.

Thanks for looking.

It sounds like a great road trip. Quite the monument!

This is more of a statue than a tombstone. I have never seen one like it. But it is so fitting!

I have always wanted to visit San Francisco, perhaps I will one day. Love the sight of the Golden Gate Bridge in the foggy distance.
