ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " Q "

I was in such a QUANDRY over posting for the letter " Q ".
Then QUMRAN came to mind.
Ten years ago this month my Hubby and I visited Israel and went to QUMRAN.
I took this picture of the Caves of QUMRAN where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found back in the late 1940's to early 50's.
The fragments and scrolls are ancient examples of the earliest known witnesses to the Hebrew Bible ( The Tanakh, The Old Testament).
One of the most special things for us is an exhibit that is at our church for just a few more days. We have the privilege of displaying authentic Scriptual Dead Sea Scrolls fragments before they go to their permanent home at Azuza Pacific University in Southern California.

I think this is QUITE an QUINTESSENTIAL shot of the clouds and sun flare.

Is this a QUIZZICAL alien or just a QUIRKY shot of the nose of an vintage airplane?

Last but not least....our Granddogger....the crazy QUADRUPED, racing around our QUADRANGLE yard on Mother's Day.

To see what other QUAINT posts are shown for the letter " Q ", go to Mrs. Nesbitts link on my sidebar
Now I can QUIT thinking of things that begin with " Q "!!!

I consider myself lucky to have seen the Dead Sea Scrolls in their natural home.... the Jerusalem Museum in, where else? Jerusalem.
That little dog is crazy!

Qumram - that was a good 'Q'! I think I spelled that wrong, but I'm getting too tired to go back and look.

I think it’s wonderful the exhibit you have at your church. I enjoyed your use of the letter “Q” and the photo of your granddogger! We have a grandkitty.

Thanks for your comment on my Fibromyalgia post; I appreciate it! I don’t know if doctors have come to any conclusions about fragrance and pain; although they are aware of chemical sensitivity disorder. Fibro is a strange illness.

Hello Sue! I am sitting here outside now 10.00pm with my laptop, which is so slow, that I did not see your photos, but I want to send greetings to you! We have very warm evening after the hot day and it is light still. The sunset was 15 minutes ago, the lake is still calm and colourful.
I wish plenty of happy things and moments to your life.
