GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

Saturday was a simply glorious day in San Francisco.
No wind...
No fog....
Blue skies.....
Who could ask for anything better?
I took this shot from the very top of Fort Point.
If you enlarge the picture you can see the surfers under the Bridge.
Today our son and his family have to go back to their home in Oregon. This week has just flown by.
Good times and good memories.

I know and dearly miss that bridge.

Sue, I enlarged the photo and spied the surfers - it's probably a tad safer to surf there than on Ocean Beach.

Happy you've had a good week with family. We just returned from Portland (visiting family) and it was gorgeous up there as well.

Per your recommendation I finally went inside Fort Point yesterday (Sunday) and had a great time... I'll have some photos up on my blog Tuesday... Don't know why it took me so long to get there, but it's always closed during the week, and there are so many people on the weekends... But I braved the crowds (not many in the morning) and did a bit of exploring... What a place...

I love the subtle difference between the blue of the sea and the blue of the sky.

One day I shall visit San Francisco and see that lovely view of the Golden Gate Bridge for myself. Hope it's not a foggy day when I visit!

I lived in San Francisco and never visited Fort Point. Now I have to go back and do it, just like I had to go back to visit Alcatraz.
