CALIFORNIA'S GOLD
The California Poppies are beginning to say welcome to Spring.
Our state flower comes in many different shades of gold.
so today i found blue poppies on ginny's blog and yellow on yours, I thought all poppies were RED. shows how sheltered a life I live. I hope the gold is from the Color and not what comes from the poppy.
This struck me so funny, as I almost pulled off the road the other day to take pictures of California Poppies. I was in a hurry, so told myself, I go back, but I haven't. So Thanks you!
The poppes are beautiful little flowers. You have captured them well! I also enjoyed your posts on the Golden Gate and the fort. I saw your comment about hubby's close encounter with the garage floor on Don's blog. I hope he is recovering quickly!
Ca poppies are awesome! they seem to bloom all year up here but much more so this time of year. I love seeing them all over the place. Great photos, that second one is extra pretty! :)
How I love the poppies! I am hoping to get out to Antelope Valley in the next week or so, to see the poppies on the hillsides out there. What a sight they are! Your photos are just lovely!
I have a passion for photography. I use my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, so come with me and see Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West.

How could I have anything but a golden day after this. Beautiful!
Very nice, especially that second one... (((and my gosh, you mentioned in the comments on my site that "Hubby" was in an accident -- is he o.k?)))
Yowza - love them California poppies!
Sue, your California poppies are beautiful and very cheery gold. We have grown these in our garden here in NZ too. They grow strong and lovely. - Dave
Such beautiful colors! I'm jealous! It will be weeks yet before we get any flowers like these.
I'm glad your husband is OK. God must have something else for you to do at home instead of away. Tell him I'll be praying for him.
Beautiful!

These flowers photos really pop! And I loved the detail of the blue wire fence. Will return - love photography!
Not heard of California poppies before - all ours are red and flower much later in the year.
Inspiring photos, Sue. That second one could be a meditation for the sacral chakra.
de magnifiques couleurs , vive le printemps
Stunning photos Sue! Truly golden!

Those are some beautiful pictures. The 2nd one looks so delicate.
I am stunned, twice: The intense color of those tulips, and the fact that I did not remember the California state flower. *hang head in shame*
Thank you for the delightful images and the lesson!
Those flowers look stunning with their vivid golden colour
Beautiful photographs.
Chihuly is the best!!
