ASIAN PEARS
Our Asian pear or apple tree , sometimes called a Papple, is full of fruit. I think that by the time we return from Kenya we will have a crop of ripe sweet fruit for the picking.
I wished I could taste one of your truly ripe pear-apples, once they are ripe for the picking. I suspect that the rather tart specimen sold at Safeway's and other supermarkets are but a shadow of the real thing!
Hello Sue! We got so heavy rain today, that we came to the town. Now I can see your photos and also this comment will come to you, I hope :)
Kenya sounds really great. I have never been in a safari, but my husband has been there and seen all those animals, elephants and giraffes made a greatest impression seen so near. I wish you a wonderful journey and plenty of photos , of course!
I love snickerdoodles so I am sure the papple would be good with it. Beautiful fruit, I love the lighting in the photo. We have an avacado tree and a grapefruit tree that my husband grew from seeds.
That fruit looks tasty. Your trip is about to start and mine is over for now with my broken arm. have a nice trip to Kenya. I just posted an update on my conditon on my blog. Never heard of snickerdoodle, will look it up.
I have a passion for photography. I use my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, so come with me and see Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West.

Great colours! I hope that you have an enjoyable and safe trip to Kenya. Take care!
I miss having fruit trees in the yard. Our plum tree died an horrific death.
Have a wonderful journey, lots of beautiful photos and a pleasant surprise with the crop of the fruit when you come back!
