DRIVE IN

Joe's Crab Shack in Sacramento, California has its own drive in. Bring your boat up to the dock and go have some wonderful seafood.
The paddle wheel boat in the background is a floating hotel on the American River. Its called the Delta King Hotel

Awesome capture! Reminds me of a Starbucks here in Kuwait with a "dirve" (or float if you will) up window for boats.

Is this the famous "Joe's Crab Shack"? I'm sure I've heard of it before though I have never seen it before.

Since you didn't happen to mention where you were standing to capture this shot, we'll imagine you were on the foredeck of your private yacht!

Cris & Deb, Of course I took this from my private yacht. Can't you see the huge shadow the cabin is making against the building? We're just waiting for room to dock...Heehee.

Moi, I was standing on the bridge that I photographed in the last post.

How great! What a shot. Capturing unusual sites like this are what makes photography exciting. Thanks for sharing. I will have to add this to my list of a 1000 places to see before I die!

There are a few places like this around us. Our favorite was a place called Dutchman's on Barnegat Bay on Long Beach Island. Years ago when we were first married we had a boat and we used to dock and eat (and drink, and party, we were very young). Fun times!

Once we had kids we sold the boat, no time or money for it anymore. One day soon(ish) we hope to get another one since we have boating in our blood.

Thanks so much for this post. It really has brought back some very fond memories for me.

What a marvellous idea! That's the type of fast food that I could really go for. Great photo.

Now all I need is a boat...

But when I get it, that could well be the first place that I am heading for...

Great picture
