Thankful Thursday
Lots to be thankful for today. We got rain ... not heavy downpours but everything got a nice drink !
Our older son and our Daughter in Love came over last night and brought dinner for all of us. Yummy food and great conversation. We haven't been together for several weeks and there was much to be caught up on.
And now on to The Rest of the Story.
Wordless Wednesday
No !!! The Aliens haven't landed ... 💥😂
This is a sculpture called "Point of Infinity" by Hiroshi Sugimoto.
It is 69 feet tall !! It was created from heavy Stainless Steel and it will maintain its beauty even through the constant salt air of the ocean.
The sculpture is located at Panorama Park on Yerba Buena Island / Treasure Island San Francisco, CA.
The sculptor wanted the piece to denote "The Edge of the Universe",
I love how the sun is reflected on the point. It also is a sundial during Spring and autumnal equinoxes.
We visited this 2 years ago and the place has 360* views of the Bay Area and its bridges.
Treasure Island was originally built to host the Golden Gate International Exposition (World Fair) in 1939.
Thanks for all of your comments.
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind
