MONDAY MEANDERINGS

 Monday Meanderings ...

Last week was both interesting and profitable for us.

First of all it was our son Mark's 53 birthday !

He's such a terrific guy and works so hard being a RN.  He's a great father, wonderful husband and has the best sense of humor.  He is also generous to a fault.

Love him to pieces.  His wife sent this photo to us.  He looks a bit tired but that's the way it goes sometimes. 😊

I have an interesting story that's all about blessings.

We have been trying to sell this framed photo on Facebook Marketplace for a very long time.

It was mostly "crickets" with no views even.

Fast forward to Sunday.  A man and his wife were  searching on marketplace for a travel trailer ... when this picture popped up on their screen.  Wife says what's that all about?  That's not a trailer ... Husband says hey, wait a minute.  That picture is exactly like my dad's picture which hangs on his dad's wall.

Husband says I have always had "Big Envy" for it.  The guy is the biggest John Wayne fan and also has a whole wall in his "man cave" of John Wayne memorabilia.  I NEED this !!

So

The gentleman contacts us and offers us a great price.  We accept and a few hours later he's at our door cash in hand. Phil was so excited to get it.

The interesting thing in talking to him was what his job is... He is a medic with the ambulance service here in town.

Come to find out that he came with the ambulance 5 months ago when Dave had that fall.  Phil thought he recognized my hubby.  Small World and such a win win for us.

I am convinced that there was no mistake in his searching for a trailer and the picture popping up.  The Lord certainly supplies our needs in the most interesting ways.

We also made 2 eBay sales this past week too.

This is a very heavy cast iron teapot on its way to Mississippi.

This beautiful metal purse is on its way to California.

Wish I knew how this exotic purse was going to be used.

Well, that pretty much takes care of my Meanderings for this time.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

This is such a heartwarming story about the photo. Your son looks like his dad. I admire nurses so much, we need so many more right now. I believe they have saved almost as many lives as doctors have.

Happy Birthday to Mark! As a retired nurse, I have big appreciation for other nurses. I'm so glad there are getting to be more male nurses. I worked with some pretty great ones!
Glad you have some sales this week. I love the story of the photo!

Happy (belated) Birthday to your son! I wish I'd the brains (and stomach) to have become a nurse. What a rewarding -- but sometimes thankless -- job!
Congratulations on those sales. I'd love that picture, solely for that handsome fellow on the far right. Don't you love the coincidence?
That purse is exquisite; I wonder if she's going to carry it as Cleopatra to a Halloween party.

Happy birthday Mark. Glad you sold your photo - and got some good money. It is a small, small world.

wow, three sales all at the same time. That purse looks so exotic, like Egyptian. My mom would have loved that. And the Mickey cast iron tea pot would have been a joy to have in my family. The girls love Disney. The John Wayne framed photo is neat, and such a classic. Isn't that something that the guy who rode in the ambulance with your husband ended up buying it. Happy Birthday to your son. What a fabulous cake!
