Wow the weeks fly by and I am thankful that it is Thursday again.
Now on to the Rest of the Story from my Wordless Wednesday.
I had shared a few weeks ago about the 3 foxes we saw in our backyard.
Well, day before yesterday we had a visitor again.
I was standing at our kitchen sink just staring out our window. A bit of movement caught my eye. I thought it was our usual squirrel that uses the top of the fence as his personal Freeway to get from one yard to another. I looked up and there looking at me was a young gray fox daintily walking on the top of the fence. I really couldn't believe my eyes. He wanted to escape out to the front yard but our neighbor was chatting with someone and he was blocking the route.
The poor fox jumped onto the neighbor's shed to get a better view. Then he turned and scurried off around the corner and on to the other neighbor's fence and away he went.
I grabbed a few shots with my cell phone. I was totally humiliated when I looked at them and saw how messy and water spattered my windows are !! The morning sun definitely put a spotlight on the mess. I guess its time for me to climb back into the sink and clean away.
So all that to say, I am thankful I can still climb into the sink and do some cleaning !!
I am also thankful for these critters that find our yard so desirable. We have never seen them so up close and personal. I'm thankful for the scavenger service they perform too. The mice and snakes are favorites of theirs. They are opportunists and will snack on lizards and squirrels and even baby birds. Not too happy about that but it is The Circle of Life.
We are looking forward to the next encounter ... Its fun to live in suburbia and the Wild Kingdom.

I love foxes! and maybe there are kits nearby! some of our windows are worse than yours! Some are just impossible to reach. But you are amazing if you are able to climb into the sink!
We don't see fox very often here..mostly deer and occasionally we can hear the coyotes howling and yipping at something or other that has their fancy in an uproar. Thank you for sharing, and have a wonderful weekend!
So cool to see the fox! I don't think your windows are that bad. When you take a picture through them, the camera wants to focus on any spots, so you see them much clearer! :)
That had to be such a thrill, Sue! I wouldn't even have noticed the windows if you didn't mention it ... mostly I'm impressed you could climb up into your sink. I wouldn't try!
They're such handsome looking animals. Kitchen windows tend to get spotty. Enjoy the wildlife, where you don't have to leave your home - they come to you!
Foxes in your yard, isn't that something! I think the critters like to roam since you have such a big yard area. And I like the fact that they feast on mice and snakes and lizards and squirrels, all of which aren't my favorite critters. Now, the birds are a different story; they're sweet, precious, and wonderful. That grey fox sure is pretty. What a surprise that must have been for you. Here, if we see DEER, that is the highlight of our day. : )
That was a fun sighting. Of something you see often. My windows are all dirty but I blame it on the dog
Oh how wonderful!!! You got a great front row seat to the foxes' activities. I love that! And don't worry about the window. We all have windows like that, I'll bet!! It's the least of our worries at this stage in life! Just enjoy the blessing of seeing that fox in action! I LOVE little blessings like that!!! I am so happy for you!!!
Honest truth. I never even saw the dirty window because one, my eye doesn't care and two, the fox had all my attention. So very, very cool.

I didn't realize he was on a fence. I thought he was sitting on your deck.
to me your photos of the fox today and yesterday are amazing. Its hard to shoot through glass. He/she is adorable. we have no critters left but tommy T in the pool and I want him gone because I worry about him. I love watching him out the window, but the slightest movement as in a lens pointed and he dives like a submarine. I would love to see a fox, I have seen 3 coyotes in 8 years on our walk.
This one doesn't appear to be very old. still has the face of a pup. We never see foxes in our area...mostly coyotes and those things scare me. I'm amazed with all the critters that you all see around the house. I only see stray cats and lots and lots of squirrels. Wishing you and Davae a relaxing Sunday...hugs..
My kitchen window is over the sink...what a pain to clean it but I like to look out while working in the kitchen.
