Those were the days!
Brings back memories!
Your granddaughter??
I can picture some little boy sitting behind her and dipping those braids into an ink well...lol
Wonderful childhood memories. Lovely photo.
I love those desks ... but she looks lonely. I'd love to see what it is she's writing.
Poor kid, mean teacher made her stay after school.
Oh, I LOVE this photo! I know it's too modern to have been you, but I can imagine that you probably looked like that with your red hair! However, I don't think you are old enough to have only had slates to write on at school! Still, it's a wonderful picture, and I sometimes wish our kids could go back to those days! No computers! Learning to do things with their hands and brains without letting the internet do it for them. This was a wonderful walk back in time photo. I love it.
Chalk. I LOOOOOOVE it. I have one on my fridge. Homemade of sorts. Love chalk. Great WW.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this Wordless Wednesday photo. These desks look similar to the ones in the pioneer days, and that reader and chalkboard look familiar (I'm a Little House lover haha). This is really a creative and unique Wordless Wednesday photo. Thank you for sharing it. The little girl has red hair, so I'm wondering if that's You! ; )
You know when I look at that photo - I think of the words safe and happy.
Love this . By any chance, Is that you, way back in the day?
