Thursday Thankfulness and the Rest of the Story ...
I am so thankful for beautiful sunsets. Last night I caught the ending of a very warm day.
The sky rapidly changed colors and turned to pinks and purples.
The best thing was the Sliver of the moon cradled in the clouds.
And now to the Rest of the Story ... from Wordless Wednesday ...
Many of you were concerned about the safety of the burros on the side of the road.
These are Wild Free-Roaming Burros in the desert by Las Vegas, Nevada.
We pulled over to get a photo a few years ago.
I appreciated how nice it was of them to pose for us.
The thing that made the picture for me was the Speed Limit Sign behind them.
I'm sure they kept under that speed limit !

I am happy to hear they are free to roam.. so adorable, and stubborn and loud. did they hee haw for you? Yes, God did bring the ducks to our yard, I have learned numerous lessons from them, about how we should live our lives, much like they do. to be content with what we have and happy and full of Joy because we have food and water and a shelter and a safe space, just like they do. It is enough and should be enough
LOL...I am laughing at the wordless Wednesday photo. Those burros know exactly what they are doing and there is NO TELLING how many times they have safely crossed the road. They look like they are posing!! This is definitely what you would call a sliver of a moon...but it's so very pretty... I so enjoy it when I walk outside in the evening to find a gorgeous sunset appearing right in front of me...This one is so very pretty. I've missed a lot of reading lately...and I've missed getting to visit with you each day...Here is you a HUG (((❤️))) loaded with love.
The pink sky with the moon is a wonderful photo. Thank you for linking up!
The sky is so pretty! It is so hard to snap the moon in the daytime, too.
The burros are lovely.
I figured it was in Nevada. They're just so adorable.
The sky and moon look so pretty.
Beautiful sky. A perfect end to a day. Nice that the burrows are free to roam.
I, too, love that they're free to roam about the country! (Sounds like an old airline tagline, doesn't it?)
Those sky images are wonderful!
That pink and purple sunset is absolutely stunning, and catching that delicate silver sliver of the moon cradled in the clouds is the ultimate reward for stepping outside at the end of a warm day. The contrast of them posing completely unbothered right next to a speed limit sign is absolutely hilarious, they definitely look like they are in absolutely no rush to break any local traffic laws! It is so neat that they just come and go as they please across the open desert. What a wonderful reminder to slow down, take in the views, and always stay grateful.
What a neat story. It reminds me of all the deer I see on the side of the highway getting ready to cross. Most of them make it, but I've seen a few since I lived here that were lying on the side of the road, and it's such a sad sight. I hope these burros were Ok. Such lovely sunsets in your area. I remember the sunrises well. : ) Your "thankful" posts are always so special.
I love watching the sky and seeing the sunsets. That was pretty nice how they posed for you.
Love that sliver of a moon in the sky. Great shots.
