THANKFUL THURSDAY

 Thankful Thursday

First off ... I loved all the different interpretations of my Wordless Wednesday.

That's what is fun about the Wordless Wednesday.  It hits one right where they are at.

My interpretation for the silly crazy photo was the way I have been feeling the last few days.  Totally crazy.  Dave's fall back on April 30th has turned out to be a full time job for me.  He slowly has been getting better from all the bruised muscles and areas.  In spite of my diligent care, Dave developed some small pressure sores and they have hurt him terribly.  We were at ER on Tuesday midnight and he was given meds and bandaid cushions and I took him home.

The ER doctor ordered Home Care nursing for him and today we met Jethro.  A really fantastic nurse who will be his wound care person.  Just praying that this will clear up asap and we can get on with "normal" life ....

The thankfulness is overwhelming.  We will have all of these treatments at no cost to us.  Unbelievable ... Financial assistance and senior advantage are saving graces for us.

#2 on the Thankful Meter is our AC got fixed.  Our friend who is an electrician came last Sunday and replaced some vital fuses and calibrated everything.

We are so thankful to have the AC since it is the beginning of our hot season.  The Temp. today is 91F.  Without the AC our house will be so stuffy and uncomfortable.  Fortunately we have several portable fans which have helped get us through.

#3 I am so thankful for Amazon and the ability to order necessities that are delivered right to our door.  It has really been a godsend for us.

So, all in all things are moving right along and I think I will come to the end of this LONG Novel.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

I love your thankful spirit. First, I think it's so good for us to think positive in hard times. Also, it's a great testimony to those around us. Praying for both you and Dave and I'm also thankful you have some assist and a nurse you like!

God is so good! I, too, love how you're able to focus on the "silver lining." Life is so uncertain, isn't it? Praying!

Oh Sue, I'm so thrilled that you will be getting homecare wound care. We have had that so many times with Don. They are so good, and know how to care and bandage wounds, and yes, how wonderful no cost to you. Gotta love that. You both look terrific in the photo dispite all the problems you have faced. My sister is now getting homecare nurses too. What a blessing. Love and Hugs.

All good news. Glad you will have help with Dave and I pray that he will be better soon. That's great that the AC got fixed.

Oh dear Sue, I am so sorry for all that you and Dave are going through, but so thankful that God is providing the help you need in so many ways. Praying for Dave's soon recovery and for your strength to keep up! Thankful for your AC being repaired...yes, 91 degrees without AC can get quite uncomfortable. I often wonder how we all survived before AC. I grew up here in Florida without it and somehow we survived and grew up to be big and strong and healthy! We didn't have a clothes dryer either for a long time, and we had nice fresh clean smelling sheets and clothes even here in our hot humid climate. We've gotten rather spoiled over the years, but I must say I am thankful for the "spoiling". LOL. Praying for you both and thanks for the explanation of the Wordless Wed. post. Now it all makes sense! You have a great sense of humor in the midst of your trials. Thank you for being such a sweet example to us. (((HUGS)))

I'm so sorry about Dave's issues. I can relate with the year I am having. My prayers go out to him and you. I'm glad they were able to help you at the ER and that someone will come to the house. Glad your air got fixed. Yes, I agree with you on Amazon deliveries. Take care.

I am so glad to read that you are getting some in home care! I am also glad your AC is fixed. A necessity when the temps are 91 degrees. Thank you for taking the time to link up. Also remember to care for yourself.

I do hope your husband feels better with each day. That's nice that you got a home nurse in there to help out. And we totally need the a/c in California during the summer months. It's getting warm here in the middle of the days.
Hang in there with this healing journey. You are taking such good care of him. : )

Sue, you and Dave have been going through a tough time, but you always handle these trials with such grace and a thankful spirit. And, perhaps that is why you have such helpful people come into your lives. It was good to read that in-home care is being provided without extra costs and that the AC has been repaired.

My dear friend...I have had you on my mind. I know these past few weeks have felt heavy with the AC issues and the worry's surrounding Dave's recovery. Life sure has a way of piling things on us all at once, doesn't it? I just want you to know that you are thought about very much. I hope you can find little pockets of rest in the middle of all the stress and that you can feel surrounded with peace. Sending you the biggest hug and hoping some very bright moments arrive very soon.... Love you!!
