Just a few thoughts for heading into Monday and to a new month.
How can it be June already?
Graduations, weddings, parties of all kinds.
This got me to thinking about something I created way back in 1986.
I had been asked by our church's high school youth pastor to create a graduation banquet for our church's students, one of which was our older son, Steve.
I was able to rent the banquet room of a local wonderful Chinese restaurant for the evening. Then came the decorations. I made separate place settings for the crowd. Really don't know how I accomplished it but I did have the help of a few special friends.
The placemats became tuxedos and the bow ties were the restaurant's red cloth napkins.
The top hats were little booklets with the pages consisting of the menu, program, graduates names and a little about them and last but not least there were word games and crossword puzzles to entertain everyone until dinner was served.
It was a labor of love for me but really time consuming.
So many years ago but I am still proud of my accomplishment in pulling this event off.
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind

And darn right you are to be proud of your accomplishment even now, Sue. This was a very clever arrangement. Hats off to grads everywhere!
Yes, you should be proud. That is pretty impressive and I bet everyone loved it!
Gosh, those tables are stunning! Your son must have been so proud, as well.
Gosh those were terrific - we did more things like that then they do now. Great job.

That's something to be proud of. Those decorations are amazing.
Sue...you did a fabulous job of putting this banquet together. Very unique and what a wonderful way to have the menu there for them in the top hats. I know this was a huge blessing for the youth to enjoy. YOU are talented and these photos are proof of it. You have much to be proud of with how this all turned out. God gave you something to work on and with hesitation you did it.. Very nice!! sending you a hot Texas hug today....it is already warm this morning around here. 🤗
That is impressive, Sue. Now doing something like what you did, is not in my wheelhouse! I'm always greatful of those those who can. What a blessing that must have been to all those who attended.

What a creative table setting. Everything looks so delightful. I like the tuxedo placemats, and the red bow tie napkins add a special touch. That is a table setting to always remember, as it was made with care and a little love.
