CATCHING UP

 Catching Up.

Thank you dear friends for all of your love and concern.

I do believe we are on the Finishing Line of Falling Accidents.

Sometimes deep muscle bruises can be more daunting than outright broken things.

Of course age does have a factor too.  We are getting through this but it is taking longer than Dave or I ever thought.  So ... Onward and Upward...

Just a bit about my last Wordless Wednesday.  Its a description of our lives at the moment.  We can't quite see around the bend and the "track of life" does have some problems.  The sepia tones denote age ... guilty ...

Probably each of you can weave your own story from that photo.  That pretty much is the meaning for the shot.

On an different subject.  Yesterday I was sitting in my recliner looking out the slider to the backyard.  All of a sudden these darling quail came parading by and stopped to pose for me.  I didn't dare get up and go to the window for fear of scaring them off.  So I grabbed m cel and zoomed in through the window screen.  Certainly not the greatest photos but I love seeing these creatures and our California State Bird in our yard.

Something startled them and they ran so fast out of my sight.  I was hoping they would stick around.  I certainly look forward to their return.

Here's wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

Isn't it interesting how a photo can tell a story? The train tracks do have something to say.
Love the quail!

What a treat! I have only seen a real on once. I find the older we got, the longer it takes to recover from things.

How sweet they are!
Thank you so much for checking in. The two of you have been on my mind (and in my heart).

Glad all is well. One day at a time!

Last week in Palo Cedro, a quail ran in front of my car and I sweved not to hit it. Oh my goodness, I would have been so upset if I had.
I've been thinking about you and Dave. Deep bruises take a lot longer to heal as we mature more.

The quail is unusual. I am so afraid of falling - it does take longer to heal the older we are.

Those are cute little birds. Sadly you might have to put them in the stew pot later, after Trump destroys the economy and causes food storages.

I love the quail photos! We don't see them here anymore in our area, and I miss them so much. I love to "talk to them" as they say "Bob White!" They often respond. They say too many feral cats has destroyed the quail population in our forests. Okay, I must go back and catch up with your previous posts, as I think I've missed something important again!!! Nice that they came for a visit and you were able to get a couple pictures of them.
Age does have a way of making everything take longer to heal.

so thankful that Dave is on the mend...My sweet neighbor (dotta) came to my door this past week and she had fallen...When I opened my front door and saw her, I thought she had been attacked. Her face was all beat up from the fall and so were her knees. She would not let me take her to the doctor so I phoned her daughter. They came immediately. I checked on her the next day and not only was she extremely sore, but she had bruises everywhere...Her hands were bruised as well I guess from trying to catch herself. thankfully she has no broken bones. It was a simple tiny lip on her porch that caused her to fall..her foot caught it and down she went. It is so easy to do and as we age, the chances are even higher. How cute that the quail showed up in your back yard. The only place I have ever seen them is out in fields. They sure looked plump! What a nice surprise for you to see them.. Continued prayers for Dave and for you.. Happy Mother's Day Weekend...You deserve all your heart desires.. loves..

Dear Sue, you have had so much "around the bend". Glad nothing is broken for Dave, but oh the pain of falling, and the deep brusing. Will hold you both in our prayers. You know, before my sister was in the hospital, several weeks before she took a bad fall, and like Shug mentioned in her comment about her neighbor, Donna face looked like she had been in a 10 round boxing match. Falls are so scary. Have a great Mother's Day. Love you with all my heart.

Oh, our California bird.....isn't he something? He is so funny to watch. So glad he visited you, especially at a time when you needed it. It's good to hear your husband is healing. Falls can take a toll on us that's for sure. I loved your words about the "track of life" on the last photo you shared, and so true. I never saw the California Quail until I moved to the mountains, so I'm so glad you saw them in your back yard! What a treat that was for you. That will be nice if they return again.

Wishing you both well. May God watch over you and heal your bodies. The quail are so cute. Take care.

Hope you are both feeling better and healing well. I love quail, but we never see them here

Yes, Pacific Street Cafe! It's our favorite breakfast place in town. The kids love the train running along on the upper part of the ceiling. Their food is delicious. I love to look at their decorations for Autumn and Christmas too. One time, the owner sold me one of her big orange glass pumpkins she had on display. I've been going there for years. I'm so glad you like that place too. Happy Mother's Day!
