THANKFUL THURSDAY

 Thankful Thursday

First of all, thank you for all of the delightful comments on my post yesterday:

Wordless Wednesday.  I agree with Chatty Crone that the title should be "Forgotten".

I took that photo up in the California Gold Country at a seldom visited cemetery.

Most of the plots were from so long ago that I do believe they are totally forgotten.

Now on to other things.

I am truly thankful for the lovely weather we have been enjoying the last few days.  Temperatures hovering right around 70F.  Perfect for working in our backyard.

The clouds came billowing up like it was going to rain but that didn't happen.

I noticed that there are buds springing up on our grape vines.
We didn't get them pruned this year so I don't know what the grapes are going to be like this season.

Apple tree buds..

Even our Wisteria is showing its face and welcoming Spring.

When picking up a pile of weeds to put them in the green waste I saw this charming little critter.

He was only about 4 inches long and quite pretty as he slithered under some leaves.

He's a harmless Racer snake, the first one I have seen in a very long time.

Thankful for it all and thankful that Hubby and I had enough umph to work out in the yard for the last few days.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

Is he some kind of skink or snake? Your yard is budding with beautiful possibilities.

Yikes on the snake.....that would have startled me. The blue sky with the clouds is beautiful. The skies are always so pretty after a rain. And wisteria.....have always thought that was lovely. So good that you are working in your yard and clearing things out. It's not quite that time here yet, our spring comes a bit later. I always appreciate these "Thankful Thursday" posts. I've seen them on a few friends' blogs before.

Beautiful pictures of the budding signs of spring in your yard.

Oh how lovely that things are starting to bud and prepare for spring! I know how tiring any kind of yard work can be, so I can feel your pain. But I also know how lovely it is when things start to blossom and grow and turn green again. We are getting there too, and I need to make myself get outside and do some yard work soon. Yes, the warmer days are very welcome. We are praying for rain maybe tomorrow. We are still in such a bad drought, so any little bit of rain is always welcome. I enjoyed your post, and I hope you aren't hurting too much today from all of your labors! Blessings to you both!

That's such a pretty sky, and then seeing the buds is truly heartwarming. It's a joyful time of year. But yikes on the snake!

we have black racers and I was thrilled to see one on a cold day laying in a sunbeam trying to warm up. this little guy is cute. I finished pruning the powder puff, and have left the results lying in a huge pile to shrivel in the sun and get lighter to carry to the curb.
