There is not too much to chat about on this Monday, just a few Mumblings to say hello to a new week.
There was a gorgeous sunrise yesterday and the air was fresh and warm.
Dave and I ended up having a rather lazy day after church ... After all isn't Sunday suppose to be the Day of Rest?
And that we did ! That recliner of mine seems to be set on automatic sleep mode!
No yard work and that was just fine with me. 😃
Saturday we finally got our new iPhones 17e. It was time to have something bigger than our mini iPhones with more of everything. We are so grateful to be on our younger son's plan and he did all the ordering etc. The cost is staying the same for bigger and better. Our other son Steve and his wife came over and helped set the whole thing up for us. These old brains Needed... and ... Need all the help they can get!
Forever grateful for our sons and their families. They are so kind, generous and very patient with us. Love them with all of our hearts.
So now we need to get used to the phones and will probably be asking the kids questions galore ... but we are thankful that we can feel free to ask them.
That photo of the sunrise is the first one taken with the new phone. I think I am going to like using it.
Now on to trying to sell some things on eBay and doing a few errands.
Happy week
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind

Good Morning Sue...missing my blogging friends, but finally only a week away from my surgery. It's really taken a tole and I find I have no energy to do blogging or even keeping up with friends. I do try to pop in every once in a while to see how you are Dave are doing. So happy you got your new phones. I use mine for all my pictures. You will find that it is so easy and convenient. Do you have text now....yeah if you do. Text me your phone # so I can put you in my contacts. That way we can send pictures without them being on the blog. Love and kisses.
The photo is beautiful! Check out the iPhones photo editing, you can have some fun with it. That is so cool that the upgrade was free!
What a good deal on the phones, and that's really great of your son to come over and help you with it. I'm not good at technology stuff, and would need help too. That is do dear that your sons are generous and patient. And what a glorious sunrise you took on your new phone. I enjoy your Monday posts. They show a little of this and that, and those are always fun.
**thank you for your special comment on my post today. I appreciate it very much.
Your blog title today made me smile! :)
Yes, sometimes we really do need a day of rest and I'm glad you got it.
Your phones sound like a good thing, and kids that help us are a real blessing!

🩵🩵 What a blessing!
it is always a great day for a sunrise. I saw one of the most gorgeous ones last week and when I reached for my phone it was home on the counter....
such a Beautiful sunset photo taken with your NEW phone!! Your sons are such great guys and their families as well. It is wonderful to have family who are so willing to help take care of us. Glad you both got a good Sunday after rest!! Those recliners know exactly what we need. I'm late commenting today.. I had an early morning health check up. all is good. See you tomorrow!!
It always touches my heart when I hear of our grown sons, reaching out and helping their parents. I'm a sucker for sons, what can I say? We raised these little boys to be good men. Just so sweet and tender when I hear of this. Such a blessing!
You and Dave deserved that rest after all you did in the yards. I'm still impressed at how much you both did.
Nice sunrise picture, Sue. Enjoy this week of spring!
So glad you have wonderful sons! New phones take some getting used to, I think. Nice photo!!
Yes, Sundays were made for resting. It's always nice to have younger people who can help with the techie stuff.
The sunrise is my favorite time of day!
Congratulations on the new phones! We're still using Android -- not just because the price point was better, but "i" technology is more intimidating ... to me, anyway. I'm looking forward to seeing more of what your new 'play pretty' captures!
Such a beautiful sunrise! Glad you captured such a lovely picture for the first picture on your new phone! And yes, I understand about that technology stuff. We've been going through some technological changes here lately, and we had to muddle our way through it on our own, and it definitely took some doing...but eventually (with help from some online support people) we got 'er done! The problem is, as soon as you think you've mastered one thing, they upgrade it to something else and you have to learn it all over again! Eventually we will lay down our techie stuff and let someone younger do it all for us. But until then, keep trying to exercise the brain! You know the old saying, "if you don't use it, you lose it!" So keep trying and growing. It will keep you "living". Great post.
Sue, you are blessed to have two sons to help you. I think that is such a gift - plus the new phones.
Beautiful sunrise photo. Looks like your new phone has a good camera.
Yes, a great day to rest. That is exciting about your new phones and your son working on that for you. I understand where you are coming from. I told our son last weekend that if anything ever happens to Mark/his dad, I know absolutely nothing about anything. He pays all the bills and has all the paperwork for everything else. Well, that photo came out beautiful on your new phone.
I love that they helped you with it. We did that with Tim's mom. Ordered and had her smart TV sent to her house. LOVE that it didn't cost you more to get a bigger phone. How's the camera?
oh I bet you love your new phones. Sons are great. We only have one son who is local, meaning down the hill from where we are in the mountains and the oldest moved Beverly HIlls and soon to Santa Monica from Washington so we will see him more. Two are still up north Oregon and Montana. Our Bend son, for years, put us on his phone account with our cell phones. That was nice! Sounds like you had a relaxing Sunday .
