I just thought I would give all of you a bit of an update on life around here.
First of all, thank you so much for all of your concern and prayers for our son Steve.
He really has not had any ill effects from his car accident. His brain has been kind of worn out from dealing with the insurance companies, but there is good news on that front too.
The insurance company of the "crasher" has totaled Steve's car and is giving him a a very nice settlement. Not really enough to get a new car but it will help him get a good deal . He also got a car rental to carry him through the process. We will see where it all goes from here. Its been a real answer to prayer.

Remember the wonderful sale we had on the glass hen candy dish? Well ...
It arrived broken and irreplaceable. Fortunately we had insurance on it so it will take care of the bulk of the cost. We are so sad and we know it was packed really good. This isn't our first rodeo. Can't cry over broken glass but ...

Dave and I had our sweet daughter from another mother ... Karen ... over for dinner last night. She is really doing very well since the death of her mother and my good friend Lynne. It was fun to chat and laugh and even watch a bit of tv together.
No photos, I completely forgot.
I'm so glad that Dave and I are finally feeling like part of the human race again.
The stomach flu is ugly stuff but the good thing is I lost a pound and a half in the process.
Some bright tulips from my archives to brighten your day.
Have a great weekend and hope some of you aren't frozen in the Arctic Blast!
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind

Glad to hear that ya'll are doing better!🙏💞, it is 4 degrees here
Glad to hear from you too. That's too cold for me. Stay warm!

That's good the insurance will pay out a nice amount. Our last 2 cars were, paid with settlement money from totalling our vehicles. Put down a hefty down payments and had some low monthly payments. I hope he's able to find a new car he likes.
That's too bad about the green hen candy dish. Glad your daughter came over and spent some time with you and Dave and that she's well after her mother's passing. She knows she will see her again. We don't grieve as the world does, without hope. Thessalonians 4:13-14. Such a beautiful promise!
Take care and enjoy our beautiful sunshine!
I'm glad things are working out for Steve. Hope he finds a good replacement.
What a bummer about the glass hen dish, you were smart to have it insured.
How nice to visit with your friends daughter. I am sure she was just as blessed by that time as you two were!
Glad to hear you all are feeling better and that Steve is getting things wrapped up with insurance.
Glad to know you are feeling better and that your son is okay. I am so sorry your dish broke. Those tulips are so pretty. Are you going to have any of this bad weather we are supposed to get?
I'm so glad you are both back to normal! And about Steve's settlement. Your tulips are gorgeous! Someone must have really mishandled your package to cause so much damage!
So thankful that you are both feeling better. I love the tulips, as they are my daughter's favorite. It's nice that Steve is getting a settlement that will provide some help in getting a new car.
I'm glad things are working out for your son. So sorry about the hen dish. Sorry about what Karen has been through. I'm glad you had a nice visit. So glad you are both feeling better. Take care and God Bless.
I am glad to hear you both are felling better and that your son is doing well after the accident.
Thank you so much for this good news! (Well, except for that little hen.) I hope Steve will find a measure of fun in looking at/choosing a new vehicle. Glad to know Karen is moving on; she's so blessed to have a 'bonus' mom like you!
So glad Steve is doing okay and that the insurance is settling up with him on the car. Hopefully he will find something good and not have to pay much out of pocket, if any. Oh, so sad about the little hen! That really is a shame, and I am sure you packed it really well. Good reminder to have packages insured! Wow. I bet the people who bought it were disappointed too. The tulips are lovely. And so glad you and Dave are feeling better finally. I know, these bugs really take a lot out of us. Not a good way to go on a diet! Wow. Anyway, glad you are better, and all's well that ends well with all of the above issues. Thank the Lord!!!
Great shot of the flowers though I am sorry about the glass. That is heartbreaking. Great though that your son got enough to get a good deal on a new ride and that you're feeling part of the human race again. Wonderful!
Glad to hear that all went well for Steve with the insurance company. It's never fun dealing with them.
So sorry to hear the glass hen arrived broken. Good thing you did have insurance on it though.
Those tulips are gorgeous.
Dealing with insurance companies can be a real headache. I'm so glad that Steve is good and has the patience to deal with the stress that comes from these kind of things. I pray he finds a really great car and gets it for a good price. Praying God's favor on him in dealing with this. I know it was good to visit with Karen and its wonderful to know she is doing good. The chicken!! This makes me sad, not only for you and Dave (the senders) but for the people who really wanted it. Glad you have the insurance though. There are so many packages being sent each day, that it's no surprise that even the best packed packages end up being damaged. I've seen how some of these packages are handled and it certainly not with care. Woo hoo that you and Dave are feeling better. I woke up this morning with sinus drainage on the back of my throat...been gargling with warm salt water. No snow around here...only ice. Your tulip photo sure brought a big smile to my face. thank you for this sweet picture. Warm hugs...
Thanks for the update. I hope son gets a good deal for another car. So good that he wasn't hurt.
Somehow I must have missed your post about Steve's accident. Glad he's okay and got a good settlement from the insurance company.
That is so sad about the glass hen candy dish--not just for you and Dave, but for the person who purchased it as well. They must have been really disappointed.
Good to read you and Dave are better. Good your son wasn't hurt but it's always such a pain to deal with insurance and all that. Have a good week ahead and sorry about that glass hen.
Sue, I am late in blog catching up, so had to backtrack to read and see the aftermath of your son’s accident. Glad to read here that he is OK and getting a settlement that sill let him get a decent replacement auto. Also, glad to read you and Dave are feeling better. What a shame about the broken glass hen and wonder how it happened with your careful packaging. But glad you had the insurance.
