FRIDAY FOLLOW-UP

I really want to thank you for all the prayers and kind thoughts and concerns.

This getting back to full health and strength  is a long trip "uphill".

We definitely are feeling so much better, but the body is still weak and I am kind of droopy.  We continue to just rest and basically do nothing but the bare necessities.

One really great thing happened for us yesterday.

We sold another item on eBay.

This is called Hen on Nest and is usually used as a candy dish or trinket holder.

I did a lot of research on it.  Its made by the Indiana Glass Co. in the 1970's.

I couldn't believe how many colors this hen came in over the years.

Apparently the olive green glass is sought after.

We put it up for auction at $29.99

Over the week it was posted a bidding war began.

Final bid at closing was a whopping $102.50  !!!!

Its paid for and on its way to Oklahoma this morning.

We are so thankful for the sale and that the money is already in our pockets.

It definitely was a boost to us yesterday !!

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

It is about time you got some good news, hurrah!! I am so glad you are both recovering! The older we get, the harder it is to recover from illness.

Glad to hear you are both feeling better.
It's great that you have all these things you can sell on eBay. It must have been fun watching the bidding go up and up.

Oh, I am so glad you are both feeling better. I know it takes a while to get back up to speed, but just take it slowly, one day at a time. I love that God has blessed you with this wonderful sale of the avocado green hen on a nest! Who'da thunk it would sell for THAT much? Wow! I have a white milk glass one, but I think they are probably more common than the colored ones. I'm so happy for you. I know it feels good to get a good sale like that! Congratulations and praise the Lord!!

I've seen those before. Way to go on the price it sold for. That's awesome.

I'm soooo glad y'all are feeling better! Two of my friends are currently hospitalized with this crud (breathing issues).
Wowzer on the sale of that pretty green hen. Her move to Oklahoma -- and leaving a nice nest 'egg' you two sounds like a win-win!

When I first saw this chicken dish, it brought back some sweet memories for me. My mom had one, but her's was the brown glass color. Gosh..I can see it now. So nice to be able to go back and have this memory. Very thankful that you two are feeling a bit better. Bugs like this can really deplete your energy and bring you down. I was so worried about Sam going to the Basketball game last evening due to so much sickness. However, Mylee's coach reserved us a seat away from the crowd. This was so appreciative. Slow and easy...y'all get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids. love you..

You have to like a bidding war, which gies to show that someone really valued the glass hen! The best news is that it is out of your home and into theirs and you have some extra $ and not a dust collector.
