SANTA COMES TO TOWN

Last night Christmas officially started in our neighborhood.

Dave and I had finished dinner and we were all cozy in our recliners, sneakers off and my snuggy blanket around me.

All of a sudden we heard sirens and some music.

Santa is Coming!

I couldn't get my shoes tied fast enough so I put on Dave's work clogs which were by the front door.  They are 10 sizes too big for me, so I looked like an accident about to happen.  Thankfully IT Didn't.

The Tulle Fog had begun to roll back in.

At least we could see down the street.

By the time we got out in the front Santa was all the way down the street.  I grabbed one photo with my cell and hurried ( or should I say shuffled back in side)

Baby it was cold and dampish out there ...

Not such a great photo but it is a fun record shot of our wonderful neighborhood.

I am so thankful we live here.

We are truly blessed.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind.

This is so neat...what an awesome street to live on..Santa on your trip is a big thing. When Sam and I bought this house that we live in, I was so excited because this is a main street which meat the parade passed past our house. We have a big circle drive, which meant we could place our rocking chairs out there and enjoy the parade in style. WELL....the city changed the flow of the parade and now it is on the opposite side of town...what a bummer!! Now what? you missed ol' St. Nick, so I hope you get at least something off of your list. Sending more hugs...

Santa does come to town till Friday night here. Then he'll stay over for the Lighted Christmas Parade downtown.

Do you remember when Santa parachuted from a airplane in Pacifica, about 1962 or 63? The wind pushed him out to the ocean and the Coast Guard had to rescue him! All us little kids had been waiting ( At Vallemar Station) and then when he was pushed out to see, we were all crying. That was my last year to believe in Santa. That year Santa made the headlines in the Pacifica Tribune.

How exciting! I don't think we ever outgrow our fascination with the first sighting of Santa.

It looks like the front of a Christmas card!

At least you caught the tail end of it. I've done that before with putting on husbands boots when I was in a hurry and they were the closest ones.

We have that tradition in my neck of the woods as well, and Santa, riding on the back of a fire truck and his whole entourage (accompanied by loud sirens to announce his arrival, and music) drive into and around complexes like mine. I can watch from my balcony.

Sue, you and Dave live in the best neighborhood with kind neighbors and fun activities. I wish Santa would come down our street. Finally finished my Little by Little. Love you.
