Nostalgia and Traditions
I was reading Debby's post on My Shasta Home about all the things that bring memories up during this Christmas time of year.
I know I have posted these before but Tis The Season ...
Here's one of my favorites way back in 2007.
Santa visiting at our Family Christmas and one of the cousins talking to him.
I keep it lit all day so I can enjoy it while working in my "Office".
My Mother in Law made them for us 60 years ago.
I love them and appreciate all the hard work .
Now its 61 years old, almost 62.
I love seeing it every year.
He's about 55 years old.

I just came from Debby's post. I love what you shared. I haven't gotten any Christmas out yet. The tree is up but I have to decorate it and don't have the energy yet. Your nativities are beautiful along with your tree and other decorations.
Your tree is gorgeous - absolutely perfect. I enjoy keeping our lights on during the day, as well - adds to the season ambiance. Your ornaments are very special. I'm glad you shared them with us.
your big tree is magnificent and I would have it on all day too. I usually leave the nook on at Christmas all day, but its sad looking. the little tree is sitting there with no ornaments for about 3 days and I just can't make myself decorate. also the sun is so bright you can't see the lights during the day.. I like all your precious memories here and wow, Santa came to your home?
Your TREE!!! It is huge and gorgeous! How did you ever manage getting it up? And you have a bay window! I have always wanted one. It is the perfect place for the tree. I remember the Kenyon nativity and the awesome pinecone trees. Santa with the little cousin is a wonderful photo.
Love your tree! I keep mine lit during the day as well. Your nativity sets are beautiful.
Stunning! I love how (seeming) inanimate objects evoke such emotions. I guess at the end of the day, we're all little children just walking around in adult skin.
I love your tree and glad you keep it on all day long!
Your tree is beautiful. Lots of lovely memories in those decorations
Pretty decorations. Santa looks pretty harmless there, if you want a good laugh search creepy Santa's, children scared by Santa, Pinterest has a nice selection 🥵
Wow...your tree is stunning...the shape, the height, and all of the work that you put in to making this tree so perfect!! I too, leave my lights on all day so I can enjoy them to the fullest. AND...the nativity scene is a treasure for sure. Those were the good ol' days when Santa would visit a home and kids would just marvel in his costume. I love the nostalgic memories of past Christmases. And...it is so fun to be taken straight back to a time when simple surprises meant that we could enjoy them forever. Sometimes I wish I could step back into a room just for a moment to relive the joy. Wishing you a day filled with more memories Sue. Sending Great BIG TEXAS hugs your way!!
Great items with lots of wonderful family connections!
Oh how your picture took me back to some memories. That is one of the special things about Christmas when we bring out things from years gone by. I'm almost finished with the little I'm doing this year. Love and Hugs
Hi Sue! I loved looking through your Christmas goodies and that tree that was made 60 years ago if I'm recalling correctly ... Wow, that's just very, very cool.
Thank you for you kind words about my Christmas banner. Those little Rudolph characters are a lot of fun to shoot!
