AFTER THANKSGIVING

 Hi Friends,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We did !  Terrific food, great conversation and family time ... what could be better?

I didn't take a single picture!  What's with That?  Too busy enjoying I guess.

Friday Dave and I prepped for a Hallmark Christmas Ornament "garage sale".

We have TOO MUCH STUFF and thought this would be an ideal time to make a chunk of change .  We really didn't think it through since we had been dealing with health issues lately.  First of all it was Black Friday Weekend and secondly the temperature on Saturday only was 46F.  That's far too cold to sit in a non insulated, cement floor garage ...

Basically we FROZE... sold $10.00 worth of ornaments ... and talked to some wonderful people out walking their dogs.

This bouncing "baby" 9 month old Great Pyrenees was something else.

Absolutely sweet to the bone.  He is a show dog and at this time is rated #6 in the up and coming show world.

His Sister is older and rated #1. ( we only met this one and I can't remember his name)

I love the way he posed for me.  He was so soft and fluffy and is learning all the commands really well.  He was huge and oh so powerful.

I went out in our front yard this morning to check out the "Shrooms".

Looks like we have a bumper crop under the tree.

Our Camilla bush is going crazy.  I think this is the most buds and flowers ever.

This is as far as I have gotten on my Christmas decorating.

Tree is up and the lights are on it.  Yay, so far they are all staying lit ...

I changed out the Fall wreath for our tinier Christmas wreath.

At least from the outside it looks like Christmas is coming.

Today's project is to get the ornaments finally on and get the "do-dads" up around the house.  I guess slow and steady wins the race.

Okay, I'd better get busy.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

Good morning Sue. Loved you blog this morning. We were neither up to church this morning so just relaxing and trying to get back to normal. We did have a lovely time Thanksgiving with family, and only 2 of our 14 grandchildren couldn't make it. I'm still in re-coop mode but getting better each day and plan a December 1st blog to share a few things that have kept me from blogging. The photo's are great. Would love to give that doggy a hug. Love you.

I hope you have a warm beautiful week end and can put your ornaments out again. maybe you could sell them all together in one lot on eBay and get that chunk of change

Sue, sometimes taking photos of a good time gets forgotten but at least you have the memories of good family time. Too bad that the ornament sale didn’t go better but at least you met that sweet pup.

I like your tree - I'm slightly weird because I like naked trees with just lights! 😍
My tree has pine cones and different types of branches so there is some variety. I'm so glad Karen was loved on by your family.
Wow, that's a lot of Hallmark ornaments. I hope you can sell them. Yeah it's been surprisingly cold the last couple of days. Not into it being that cold. At least today the sun in shining and that valley fog is gone.
What an adorable dog!

Beautiful tree, Sue! But you know, my heart goes out to that sweet pup. The GP's are so stately looking, aren't they? What a thrill to meet him, up close and personal.
Will you be trying the ornament sale again before Christmas? Maybe a "Christmas in July" event?

I'm sorry your yard sale didn't go very well. I wish I could see the ornaments up close. Do you have any Madame Alexander doll ornaments? Just wondering. I have a collection of them because my sister actually gives me one every year for Christmas, and I use them in my doll house. I was just curious if you had any that I don't already have, but I'm not really looking to buy...just curious to see what you have...but then you never know... I love your pretty tree, and you are way ahead of me. I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving, and yes, that dog is beautiful!!! So sweet. Happy Advent Season preparing for Christmas! (((Hugs)))

I'm glad that you had a great weekend with family. They are the best times. The older I get the less enthusistic I am about decorating for Christmas. Luckily Daughter and family came yesterday and cooked lunch and then decorated for us including the outside lights. So happy she moved to Brisbane.

The Camilla is gorgeous! Ten dollars really wasn't worth freezing for, but you had no idea. Now you can buy a heating pad!

Charming dog, you can tell he's still a puppy by the way he's sitting...with his feet off to the side.

Sorry the Hallmark ornament sale didn't go so well. My daughter would have loved that. I have a friend who has that breed of dogs. I think she has two.
Your tree is really pretty

Good morning Sue...you hit it big by just having all the lights on your tree shining bright. Half of my lights did not work this year, so I had to add strings. ARGH! I have to ask how you accumulated so many ornaments? I'm thinking I must have missed something from long ago..did you and Dave have a shop? So sorry that the day was not good for you to sell them.. try and try again! By the way, your Christmas Tree is Beautiful. I sure love visiting with you each day...love you!!

I didn't take a single picture either over at Adam and Gabby's. OMG, we were just talking about that last night. I have over a thousand ornaments I don't use anymore. I worked for Hallmark and have so many. Such a pretty dog. Love the mushrooms and flowers. Our tree is up too but definitely not decorated. Your wreath looks so pretty on the door.

That dog is the cutest dog ever. In fact, if I ever got a dog, I would want it to look like this! So sweet. Hallmark Christmas ornaments, you have so many! I wish I was around your neck of the woods to stop by. I love a good yard sale. Your camellia bush is pretty and such a vibrant color. Your tree is so lovely, even without the ornaments. And I love your Christmas wreath. So pretty with the poinsettias and berries.

Have a merry and bright December week.

Great tree. Too bad about the yard sale but you made a new friend. A beauty too.

Wow, that's a lot of ornaments. Sorry the timing of the sale was not so good, but maybe you can post them on eBay?
The dog is beautiful. If he's #6, I wonder what his #1 sister looks like.
Your tree is lovely--even with just the lights on it.
