ROCKLIN TRAIN DEPOT

Thursday and yesterday were suppose to be a celebration of the Lincoln and Transcontinental Railroad.  The train was coming to our local train depot and passing through both days.

It poured during the Thursday time so we decided to miss it.

Yesterday a different train was returning and only for 15 minutes.  But, we decided to drive down to the station anyway.

What an amazing sky.  It didn't drop a speck of rain though.

I love that sun flare in the left hand corner.  Lots of activity in the Heaven-lys.

Sorry this is a bit blurry.  The train was still moving.  I would love to sit up in one of those Vista Domes and see the world.

A very nice lady standing near by said she would like to take our picture for us.

Why not?

We just wish that we were on that train going "anywhere"...

It was fun just to get out and see something different for a change.

Then it was on to Costco... Everyone and his brother was there.
It felt like Bumper Cars in every aisle.
I couldn't wait to get done shopping and go back home !

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

I love the photo of you both, and the train is really pretty. We went to Costco yesterday, and I have never seen it is busy! I wonder why? Some of the checkout lines stretched halfway to the back of the store.

Aww the photo of the both of you is sweet. You both look happy.

It was busy yesterday at Winco - more than I’ve seen in months. It was later than I usually shop at 10:30 am. I’ve never seen such long lines, since the holidays! Crazy.

What a fun outing! I love the picture of you two in front of the train.
That was a gorgeous sky too!
Our Costco is always crazy. I have to think twice before I go there. :)

What a sweet lady, asking to take your photo to remember the day! You kids look so happy!
I've not traveled by passenger train since I was a little girl ... it's still on my bucket list.

That's a nice photo of you two. That was nice of the woman to take it for you.
I dislike shopping when the stores are crowded.

I am smiling, the area that trains go through here, all the crossing have so many "bumper" cars we can't see the trains. we don't get but 2 a day and both are at night and at 4 am. no passenger trains, to get those we have to go to Tampa. I spent my childhood riding the Silver Meteor back and forth from a few blocks from where we live now to Savannah GA. several times a year. I would love to try it now. like you I long to go anywhere, even WALMART

That is an amazing sky and I LOOOOOOOVE the golden yellow train. Very fun. I haven't shot trains yet. Looks like a fun time for sure.

Regarding your comment on my blog: In the end, the camera breaking rolled out for the best. I don't have a business yet though. Someday though! Very cool to read that you like macro as well. It's such a treat to shoot. Have you tried doing it first thing in the morning, when the world is quiet and still sleepy?

You two look great next to the train! We have a Sam's Club about an hour away, but I have never shopped at a Costco.

This is a wonderful photo of you two and how very nice for the lady to offer to take it. There really are a lot of kind people in the world. How exciting to see the train come through.. We had this happen here in our little town a few months ago and EVERYONE came out to watch the train travel through. We do not have a Costco in our Area...The nearest one is a good 100 miles away. Trista and I went to Home goods yesterday and the people that were not at your costco was definitely at the Home goods store...lol. We could barely get down the isles. Glad you all had rain on Thursday but happy for you that it didn't rain for you to enjoy the train. Happy Tuesday....and big ol' hugs coming your way..
