FLASHBACK FRIDAY

I didn't sleep too well last night.

I've got nothing new to post about today, so I thought I would go back into my archives.

Perhaps these have been seen before, but it's always fun to go back and look at them again.

The first one is me with our 2 sons way back in 1974.

I call it "Brotherly Love"

The next is from Bodie, California.  I love this old mining town that is now abandoned and full of wonderful photo opportunities.

And lastly,
My old stomping grounds.
The Pacific Ocean, just a mile from our home.
This was about 20 years ago.
Sometimes I really miss this view, but I sure don't miss the foggy days that seemed to go on forever.

Enjoy your weekend.

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

The first and last are my favs. The first one of your kids is so hilarious! They could not have chosen a better time. And the one with the sea and bird is gorgeous.

so sorry you did not rest well last night. those kind of nights seem to drag on. I did enjoy stepping back in time with you today .. The ocean scene is very pretty but I know that gig can really be something!! I also enjoy mining towns. makes me think of the people and the hard times that I know took place in those areas. wishing you a fantastic weekend.. sending all good vibes your way!! hugs

Oh girl, that "Brotherly Love" is hilarious! You made me smile out-loud.
There's just something about abandoned structures and machinery that draws me in, inviting me to linger. Thank you for these!

I have on several hard drives probably 100,000 photos. my problem is the hard drives are old and very slow, and I did not do a great job of labels when I started in 2002. some of them are well worth looking for again as are yours. love the old cabin and the car

Love the brotherly love photo. Older brother does not look like he's feeling the love, haha.

Oh gosh, there's just so much to love in this post! That first photo of "brotherly love" is really special! That's definitely a "keeper". And yes, I love photos of old stuff too. There's so much to see there. I am sorry you did not sleep well last night. I think we all go through nights like that, sometimes more often than we'd like. Hopefully tonight you will sleep "like a baby". Take care and be blessed.

I love the photo of you with the kids.
I've visited two old mining towns and loved the photo ops too. I've never seen the Pacific ocean - what a gorgeous view!

Wow, you lived closer to the beach than we did when I grew up there. We were exactly two miles away. Just before St Peter's, and right off Lindamar Blvd. The fog was the reason why I decided to move down the peninsula. On Friday nights, we would cruise along El Camino all the way down to Mountain View and then come back, enjoying the great weather. I realized then that I would leave home at 18 to pursue the warmer weather! Never regretted it.

I like Bodie when the weather is cooler. When it snows, it's beautiful.

The first photo is the best, it looks like June Cleaver with Wally and The Beaver.
