The last few months have been a bit on the rough side.
Dave's health has been not too good. He has had a lot of pain in the area on his side.
This is where ER had put a drain in to drain fluid from around his kidney and liver area.. The pain was so much less but it never went away. So this last month it began to come back and we ended up in ER yesterday morning.
Great doctors, gobs of tests ... lab work ... CT scan ... NO conclusive answers. NO fluid to drain just dull pain. Doctor can't figure out what the problem is. Says it isn't diverticulitus or diverticulosus (sp?) so we are back to square one again.
Getting old and the body not cooperating is a definite problem. So
We are again taking it easy today and wondering where we go from here.
On another note here's the latest follow up on Mark Behrens. Apparently they are releasing him later today. He was able to eat solid food and get up and take a shower. Drs. feel what he had/has is an acute case of pneumonia. Mark thinks he is back to normal but Me thinks he needs quite a while to regain his strength and stamina. He thinks he will join Steve at camp in the next few days... I don't think so !!!
I think when he's home and has to do things for himself, he's going to find that he needs a whole lot more recovery time.
Prayers appreciated.
Steve is back at camp for week #2. This time it is 400 high school students. Busy times ahead.
Thank you for all the prayers and loving concern for us all.
Love my Blog Family.

OH Sue, I'm so sorry about your hubby and his medical woes this past weekend (and beyond). I know how exasperating it is to have these kids of issues and not be able to find any real answers. Praying they will figure it out and find a way to help him feel better. I totally understand. And I am glad that your friend Mark is going home, but like you, I hope he will take it easy for a few days and not try to jump right back in the fray! I know these young people (younger than us anyway) feel like they are indestructible, but sooner or later they learn that they have to let their bodies rest and recover from illness and take it easy. Praying for both men and YOU too! And your son, as he is working doubly hard. (((hugs)))
I agree. He thinks he will be fine to go because he has been in the hospital resting. But once he is up and about, it is altogether different. After three or four days in the hospital, I need P.T. to even help me walk again. Gosh, Why can't they diagnose Dave's pain? And of course it always happens on the weekend.
You don’t get over pneumonia fast - it’s a gradual recovery getting one’s strength back. I’m surprised they are letting Mark come home from the last update. Prayers helped.
I’m sorry to hear about Dave’s health continues to not improve - it’s good you went to ER. I hope the doctors find the answers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
