Exactly right!
Did your children go to Terra Nova? Do you remember the boys we lost to the Vietnam War? One was a neighbor and his sisters I ran around with. I’ll never forget it. A few others I attended Terra Nova with or knew their younger sibling. Such a terrible time back then in Pacifica and the youth riot at the shopping center.
I always think of Medford and have visited his grave at GG national cemetery. I still think of his mom screaming when the marines contacted her. It was July 3 and everyone was out and when they drove by, all the adults had a feeling. I still get chills thinking about her screams.
Remembrance is even more important than ever in these troubled times.
Amen! We have so much to thank them for.
