HAPPY MONDAY

Whew ... we made it through the weekend.

I battled the crazy shoppers at Walmart yesterday.  I think Everyone thought Sunday morning was the best time to shop.  It seemed like they all wanted to be in my aisle and block my way.  Finally made it through though sans some serious moola.  That's what I get for not shopping for so long.

The wonderful thing about the grocery trip was meeting some long time friends.

We had lost track of Ruby and Jim.  Jim had so many health issues including bladder and prostate cancer.  Frankly we were not sure if he was still living.  Covid19 was added to the mix and so it goes.
They were on our minds often and in our prayers
We all served together at Bayside Church for many years.
I was practically in tears being hugged by them.  They live an hour from us in a very rural area of the foothills so chance meetings are really rare.
My heart was singing as I went home to share all of this with Dave who was mowing our backyard while I was gone.
Then
Last night as we were watching tv I looked out the window and said that looks like a big skunk in our backyard.
Yes, it was .. ugh ...
He was nosing around , I guess looking for grubs.

Took these shots with my phone through the kitchen blinds.

I don't know where he went or actually where he got into the yard either.

I Don't like these Critters in my yard !!!

At least there has been no smell from him but I do think its using our yard as its "cat box"  UGH again.

Gotta do some research on what to do from here on out.

Take care and always be Kind.

What a wonderful surprise! Good grief, so many Sunday shoppers! Not so here. Maybe it depends on where you live. We get skunks in our yard from time to time. We can smell them, but have never seen one!

What a very special blessing it was for you to run into these friends.. I know this was a great reunion! So what in the world are you going to do about this skunk? He/she needs to scat right on out of your yard and head on down the street. We had one a few years ago and the thing was in the culvert of our driveway. since we live in the city, we couldn't shoot it....it finally disappeared and knock on wood...haven't seen it again. Do you have any fallen fruit? Fallen fruit or any pet food left out, creates food for them...Hope it is gone!

See, if you hadn't postponed that WalMart expedition, you'd have missed seeing your friends. What a God wink!
I've not seen a skunk in these parts, but well remember when my little dog decided to take one on. Poor outcome, yep. My late mother would suggest calling the County Extension Agent's office, but in all honesty, I'm not sure what they actually do.

I love your cute pic at the top!
How wonderful to run into these old friends. God had that all planned.
Yeesh - you sure don't need a skunk nosing around your yard.

Great to see old friends but not that young four legged one in the backyard!

Oh my! A Skunk in your yard! P-U! I'm glad he didn't spray. I don't know what to do about them. If he keeps coming back, however, I would call the wildlife people and have them come and get him. I wouldn't want that job, however! LOL. So wonderful to run into such dear old friends. What a blessing to see they are alive and well! Really wonderful. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you, with no smelly skunks!

I don’t believe in luck or coincidences - that meeting up with them was divinely ordered! Especially since they don’t live around you. Wow. I hope you’ll be able to see them again and this time maybe Dave can get in on the visit.
My son had a skunk in his yard but they eventually left. I would call wildlife animal control if it starts wanting to be your newest neighbor. 🦨

How wonderful to run into your old friends. That sure made the shopping trip worth it.
Sorry about the skunk. I hope it doesn't doesn't decide to spray in your yard. Years ago there were a family of them in our yard one night. I was married to my first husband at the time. He decided he wanted to scare them off so he threw something out the window at them. Well they did run off but not without spraying the side of the house first. The smell was so bad I could hardly breathe. For years afterwards, when it rained and the ground got wet you could still smell skunk.

How exciting meeting old friends and finding out they are okay! Not the same kind of exciting for the skunk!

Glad you ran into your buddies. Yes, here, before church lets out, the stores are EMPTY. However, as soon as church is out, the stores are NUTSO CITY. Way too many people.

What a special blessing to run into old friends, and then even find out they live close by. Sounds like a big God wink.
Love the picture in your header. So cute.
