THANKFUL THURSDAY

We are so very thankful for the return to health.

Dave is doing quite well and I think we are both getting our energy back.

That being said ...the house is clean but there are only a few things up that say

Christmas.  The thought of getting everything out and having to put it all away in a few short weeks is just too daunting for me this year.

So

Here are several of the things that are full of sentimental memories for me.

This is our Nativity set that we brought back from Kenya way back in 2009.

I love that it is all hand made and tells the story in a lovely compact version.

These pinecone trees are a MUST every year.

My Mother in Law made these.  They are 60 years old, and still in really good condition.
Through out the years Mom would collect small seeds and cones, then paint them and give them away.
I treasure them.

That's it for now..

Those are treasures. The nativity is beautiful. I've never seen pine cone trees - so creative and so special.

I love that nativity! Our Pastor was born in Gabon, Africa, to missionary parents, and last Sunday, they displayed all the different nativities from all the different places they lived. Yours is one, you never see. A one-of-a-kind, here in the States!
I've never seen a Christmas Pine Cone Tree. A real keeper.

The nativity is really lovely. I have never seen a tree like this, your Mom was a talented crafter!

I've always loved pinecones, but never saw anything like this. Truly exquisite, Sue. Hugs!
