Life is still a roller coaster but I want to share something else with you today.
I'm posting a proud Grandma moment our Granddaughter Lauren told us about yesterday.
This beautiful young woman is a full time financial accountant at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel located in Las Vegas, and a travel agent on the side.
Lauren signed herself up to get her Data Analytics Certification within 6 mo. or less. She just took her first graded exam and got 100%.
Lauren says she never did well in school, but this time she is doing class work because she WANTS TO, not because she HAS TO. She is so proud of herself and I am too.
Lauren shows she has strong character, is competent and capable of doing what she sets out to do.
This sweet gal is going to go far. Its fun to brag on our kids sometimes.

Thank you for all your prayers and concern for Dave. I really won't have anything to report until after his Dr. visit on Wednesday...so life goes on and I cherish each one of you.

Congratulations to your granddaughter! Now which Waldorf Astoria Hotel? I believe there are like 20 of them. The one in NY is supposed to reopen in the spring of 2025. Is it that one?
How cool is that!
I was like that in school. If it was a subject I liked - history, earth sciences, geography I was a straight A’s - Math - I needed a tutor and still never grasped higher math - just flew over my head. I learned enough to do basic accounting. Now I use a calculator! 😉
Laura sure is a pretty young lady and I can sense your Grandmotherly pride and there’s nothing wrong with that!

Life becomes more motivating when you are doing things you choose to do. So glad to hear she is having success in life and has the drive to keep pursuing her dreams! More prayers for Dave as you navigate his health concerns.

She is beautiful, smart, kind and gentle. I am so happy to hear she made 100 percent on test and is doing so well at her job. I can tell you that I have never made 100 percent on a test in my life.. my brother made that on ever test he ever took. prayers for your roller coaster ride to slow down and STOP soon
