DINNER WITH THE FAMILY

Friday Night was so much fun.

We had our 60th wedding anniversary dinner at our son's home.

Crab Pot Jambalaya to die for.

Steve was the Chef of the day.  He fixed the tastiest combo of Dungeness Crab, shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, onions, garlic, and Bay Seasonings and mini potatoes.  Perfection with the clarified butter that Steve taught granddaughter Maddie how to make.

There was tri tip done to perfection for those who aren't fond of crab..(we all had some though)  It was a messy but yummy time for us.  Lots of laughter and chatting.

One of the great times was after the meal.  We sat around the table and Steve asked Dave and I about our 60 years of marriage, the pivotal points of our lives, special occasions and then everyone chimed in with episodes, memories and about our legacy with the sons, daughters in law and their spouses and granddaughters.  Tears and warm fuzzy feelings galore.

My heart is full and the memories will last our life times.

Maddie and her Uncle Steve.  She learned a whole lot of cooking skills from him including how to clarify butter for the crab.

I am so thrilled at the bonding and blending of our families.

What a great celebration and memories. I can only hope all my four guys and their families will get together one day from their various states. We did mostly all meet in 2016 at my son's house in Washington state. That was a fun time. congrats on having such a loving family with some good cooks.
